Lot of classes, lots of clubs, and i fit right in and didn’t get bullied nearly as often as i did in middle school, if at all. However I moved out of state not too long ago and since i’m a trans guy, the way my state treats trans people really isn’t the greatest, so i’m just kind of expecting the worse out of my junior/senior year as much as i hate to say it. The important part is that i survived middle school. 6th grade was ass, 7th grade was debatable and 8th grade was sooorta alright.

It wasn't just the teacher, unfortunately. It was also the counselors, the school resource officer, and the assistant principal. Up and down the board, everybody's response was, "Kids will be kids."

Bullies are usually raised by bullies, that's what I've seen, they don't just learn it at school, they learn it at home too. If the kid down the street's an asshole, chances are his father's an even bigger asshole. But Corey's totally right about it being temporary- I got bullied all throughout grade school, all the way through college- and I thought to myself: Even I transfer to a different college, this shit's just gonna keep happening- college kids are just assholes- it doesn't matter what school you go to: they're all dicks. So I hung in there, graduated, and it's been 5 long years: No bullies at all. Life's been good. You just have to hang in there and focus on your own shit- don't let them distract you. It'll eventually stop.

Well some kids become bullies because of a psychological trauma: abused growing up, sexually molested, parents divorcing or splitting up at a young age. A lot can create a bully. Some don't become bullies, like myself.

I feel that it's worth mentioning that I have heard the self titled album more times then I can count. It among others carried me through my teens. At first the violent nature was a solid representation of where my mind was at. As a young adult that was only cd that I had for a long time and as a homeless man, it kept the fight in me enough to not simply give up and let the world go. I have been told that I was messed up for putting so much stock in a band that was so twisted but the truth is that were it not for that things would have turned out very differently. I hope that Corey and the rest of the band gets to see these comments because they should be able to know how they have a profound effect on so many.
