My Dad died last year and the Chris Isaak version of this song was his favorite song and he listened to it constantly. A few days ago I bought a Stone Sour CD without knowing this song was on it and I was listening to it in the car when the song came on. I have to admit I pulled over and had a good cry because it made me think about all the good times I had with my Dad. I'm happy to see that Corey Taylor is able to do my Dad's favorite song so perfectly.

I didn't expect to see so many comments about Adam Gontier. I was just listening to his cover of this song. Definitely my favourite. I don't listen to Slipknot, but recently, I have been listening to some of Corey's acoustics. I think he does a great job on this as well!

Corey and his music (no matter which band he's worked with) has been a huge support throughout most of my (especially my teens) life. And when I go through a lot of the track here on YT, I see something peculiar. There are, A LOT, of people from around 1985 to 1990 who have followed him like I have (I am from 1987). I can't help but think that something was up in the 90's from which stone sour (I remember how "Bother" was on MTV constantly) gave us a break. And it went even further in the late 90's/early Y2K when "Slipknot" became a thing. I remember seeing a program about Stone Sour, and when the band heard his voice in Slipknot, the were like: "Can he also sing like that?!?" And so they wanted to do something harder as well. So then they made the double track "sovereign/absolute zero" which to this day is one of my personal favorites. And when I was young and going through a really hard time (and had a lot of hate for the world) "Tired" really helped me get a lot of my aggressions out of my system. Corey Taylor is the GOAT to me.
