She is SO underrated as an artist

Corinne Bailey Rae is underrated cause she only had one good album. BUt that one album was is a masterpiece.
@ycma30087 жыл бұрын
I would say all her albums were great
@bluemanchicago94217 жыл бұрын
@Jady.....You're exactly right, she is so underrated. I really think they steer us common folk into liking 'no talents,' and make us think that truly greats like Corrine are not great. But we know she is!!!
@aliyourbrother17 жыл бұрын
Blueman Chicago Corinne is not underrated to me. Her first album was a perfect masterpiece. But then she only had ONE. the next one was is boring. js. :)
@anfevepa7 жыл бұрын
Off course it depends on your music taste. I personally found her second album a masterpiece as well. Her first one is clearly a MUST have :) Maybe she doesn't not get as much recognition as she should because she didn't go mainstream with her next albums

I can listen to Corrine all day, makes me think of having a glass of wine on a balcony in Paris. Pure talented singer not like most singers today.

You got that right. Her debut, The Sea, The Heart Speaks in Whispers and her features got me enmeshed in melodies throughout last year. I am grateful to her, as well as Steve Chrisanthou for making her happy. Her music is even more beautiful today!

Why is Corinne Bailey Ray such an under-recognized artist ?!? True talent !!
@Flewti28 жыл бұрын
+Janae Lyttle Her music borders on Jazz, and not as much Pop. Also, she doesn't do anything controversial. There is no real sexy promotion and display of herself.
@tcayzer6 жыл бұрын
Janae Lyttle I truly hate to agree with the previous response, I love her sound, you hear her soul in every song she performs. I really feel bad for those who haven't heard her or are too ignirant to search her out. Definitely one of my favorite vocalists!

Because she's not a product of the music industry. True talent and musicianship here, and no explotation of sexuality in order to make profit. That's why.

I remember when I saw the video for Like A Star....I was enchanted...fortunately Fader Magazine had that song on a mixtape CD but I had to order the debut album from the UK through Barnes & Noble's music department a year before it was released in the states....I bought the special edition with the second disc of her favorite covers ...songs by other artists...she reminded me of Minnie Riperton back then....she has evolved eventhough she does not release music as much as other artists.
