Wow wow wow. I have been living in Australia for just over 22 years. I was recently telling my kids about how I used to jump the wall at Farna to sneak out to get Donkey’s Gudge from the shop at the end of the driveway. My google search to show my family led me to this video. My wonderful wife gave this a crack today. In one bite I was transported back over 30 years. Well done Trish. This video is fantastic and the results are amazing. My wife and kids have today experienced an awesome Cork recipe and loved it. Well done Trish.

Ah that's fabulous! Ya can't beat a good wedge of donkeys gudge! Sure we're from Cork like! I know I'm not everyones cup of tea but teaching during lockdown rekindled my passion for old traditional bakes and if I can get kids and adults to try a recipe sure my work is done! Have a fab day and thanks so much for your lovely comment!

Donkeys gudge huh. Oh, those were the days. Leaving the Mon at lunch break, and buying it in the shop at the bottom of Fair Hill. Brings back all those lovely memories of yesteryear. Innocent and lovely carefree times. Loved the video. Especially the Cork accent, like !!!

Hi Aby, video created during lockdown with no help and four kids, lol. Ingredients are announced in the video , best I could do at the time during a pandemic unfortunately I'm not tech savvy so did the best I could at the time. Great recipe outlined in the video if you do get to try it . Best wishes Trish
