Aaj ek purani yaad aap ke sath share kar rahi hun. 1989-90 ke samay ki. I was newly married & expecting my 1st baby. Mera sasural North Bengal may hai. Wahan roz, saal bhar barish aati hai. Fir bhi Malda ki aam papdi Bengal may bahut lokpriya hai. Wahan dhoop toh kam, barish he barish hoti hai. Kaise banatey hain yeh log aam papdi bina dhoop may sukhaye? Meri mausi saas ne sikhaya. Unhoney kache-pakke aam chuney. Uska hathon se pulp nikala. Chhan liya. Bengal may aluminium ki handi may chawal banta hai. Upar ulta dhakkan lagaya jata hai. Usi dhakkan par tel ka hath laga kar, mango pulp ka thin layer laga diya. Neechey chawal ka slow cooking chal raha tha, upar dhakkan sufficiently garam tha. 2-5 minutes may pak gaya. Woh sheet nikal kar, fir se oil ka hath laga kar, aur ek aam ki parat/sheet bana li. Ek ke upar ek sheet lagati gayi. Mujhse toh raha nahi gaya. Jaise he ek sheet banti, mein roll kar ke khati gayi. 😅😋 Jab mun santusht hua toh bachi kuchi sheets ke layers bana kar squares may kaat liya aur shakkar ka bura sprinkle kar ke, tight lid ki bottle may store kar liya. Gaon may cooking ke kitney simple tareekey hotey hain. Local weather conditions ke hisab se innovations kar he lete hain.😊❤ Since most of us subscribers, who practically watch your videos everyday, have a sense of family feeling when relating to you virtually, I shared this nostalgic memory with you.
