Daniel I'm not surprised that those JD planters have so much trouble, What does surprise me is the amount of money they cost with all that exposed wires and connectors . In that type of environment of mud, dirt and vibration all those cables hoses, harnesses and components should at least be aircraft or marine rated with encapsulated connectors ,components and wires. Are not kids great.

Try putting dielectric grease on all your harness connections. Use a plenty and then plug them together. They make better contact all the time, helps keep dust and moisture out, and helps in rough ground to make better connections. It also makes them easier to unplug!! Hope this helps!

I'm not saying modern day technology is not any good by any means. As a fact it's Made farming better for everyone. I grew up in a time when you seen a guy riding on a walk board watching what was going on. We had very few skips and little to no problems. Yes it was 4 and 6 row planters. But all manue. And much slower. Yet it leads you to wonder if things was better then or now. Glad to see corn coming up. Just hang with it, better days are coming.
