I own a water jet in my welding shop, they can be super high matinence. Not saying this isnt practical but i dont think i would go for it. I think that wet seed trench would make for hard side walls if it were to dry up, it splashes all the fine particulate up as the water blows down lining the trench with concrete like material, also in thing i dont think you have much control over is seed depth placement. The densities change all across the soil and softer soils would result in deeper depth of plant. And the tips where out after x amount of hours, not that this is a bad idea and i applaude the guys for thinking different. I think the cons outweigh the benefits

Interesting idea but yeah I want to see more testing in real world conditions across a wide range of soils, crops, etc. before I'd get too excited about it... Later! OL J R :)

Seed trench looks muddy and smeared like compaction. Wonder what the water pressure does to the sidewall and bottom of the trench. Will roots have a hard time getting through it after it dries out?
