This was just about the best tutorial on making tortillas I have seen. I just bought a tortilla press after going to a friend's house and having homemade tortillas for the first time. And you're right, after having them fresh and homemade, I never want to buy store bought again

Shirani ! I made this exact recipe and my husband loved them ! your instructions were spot on. I did have alittle trouble with my masa being slightly sticky and I had a sticking issue when taking out of the plastic after pressing in tortillas press but I switched to 2 sheets of parchment paper and was able to pull off the tortillas fine 🙂. You have such a great channel and your recipes and instructions are just awesome 👌

I realize the flame/heat needs to be pretty high, but could you give me a suggested temp? I had my pan at around 450 to 500f if the therm is correct, is that hot enough? It seemed like I needed more heat, I could get it to 600f, but I thought maybe that's too hot. So, what temp do you usually use for these, if you have a digital thermometer gun. Thanks!
