I purchased this to do some light PC case modification along with the dremel tungsten carbide cutting bit. kzbin.infoUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR I had to remove a flange from my PC case that was preventing my monitor cable from fully seating in my GPU's HDMI connector, and after hacking away at this 2mm flange with a hand file I broke down and purchased this (at Home Depot).I have to say it's fantastic, and by far the best rotary tool I've used. No wobble or give from the shaft, plenty enough torque for light metal work, and decent battery life. The WC bit ate through the steel frame quite easily, and the chuck seemed to hold it firmly. This may seem obvious, but I especially appreciated the cordless nature of the tool since I was holding it at odd angles to ensure I didn't shower the inside of my PC with metal shavings.TL;DR, this is the one to get for light-medium duty work.

I love your honest spirit. You made me feel real excited to start a new hobby. I went garage saleing with my grandmother one day with Ten bucks in my pocket. I have no need for added "STUFF " as i am 47 and lived threw my overload of Nik Nak phase.. Ha.. BUT!... lo and behold.... I suddenly found out that I entered my " I want a unendless great book kinda hobby phase !" metaphorically of course.. Read a book!?.. blah. Not me... sry.. long story short. I was very excited when I saw this little 6 by by 12 gray tool kit!😄 I love tools... and thinking of course it has to be a set of some kind!.... right?.... I FOUND IT! I FOUND MY UNENDLESS GREAT BOOK KIND OF HOBBY!" WOOD CARVING! Yep.. And like you said, there are unendless ideas, and practices, ECT, ect... Oops sry...rambling agion.. lol writing a book. Ok...... Sooo it was a ROTARY tool kit with 60 accessories. The motor is 120v/60hz. 16,250 RPM's ( No load ) "I don't know what that means".. 🤔 The make is Chicago electric power tools. What is your opinion about this as a starter?

Have You Ever Traced Around Oridenary Items Around The House such As A Spoon Or A spatula or A Spoonrest. It's Kind've Fun To Do Things Like That When I Started I Didn't Think I Could Do Anything Like That. When I Started Doing Stuff Like That I Started Out By Making A Guitar Pick Like I Told You. Then When Before I Got My Scroll Saw Then I Started Making My Spoonrest. I was Nervouse When I Started To Cut It Out But I Got Done. Then After I Got It Cut Out I Felt So Proud Of My Self That I Could Do Something Likethat. I Snaped A Pic Of It & Showed All My Friends & They Wh'er Amazed At What I Did.

Hi I want to thank you for your videos. I have always loved making things and I started carving my own guitars a while back but stopped now for years because of the place I am living doesn't have any place to carve big pieces of wood like those. But just recently my aunt passed away, it seems that she is talking to me and pushing me to get back to doing what I love no matter what make it happen. So I had glued some pieces of poplar together 1.5- 2 years ago but didn't know what to do with it. I think she is acting as my muse from beyond the grave. So I never had done any wood burning or really any detail carving at all. a big guitar shape isn't that hard really just take layers off till you find it hidden inside the piece that you are working with. So basically I had to start from scratch and relearn the things I use to know and teach myself how to carve detail and also how to do woodburning in 4 days so I could present it to my uncle at the wake/memorial this last weekend, she would have loved it. I was working during the day then watching and practicing carving and burning techniques till 2:30-3:30am in the morning close my eyes and get back up at 4:15 to go to work. 4 maybe 5 hours of sleep from Monday night to sat morning. but I finished it and I really wanted to thank you for the videos. you rock

Thank you. I need to get back to my wood carving. Been making costumes for my cosplays lately so really need to get back to it again. I also need to find those inverted bits. hard to find here in NZ and postage at the moment is expensive as well as unreliable

Hello! Thank you for your videos! Beginner here, I’ve been watching your videos and you use those 3 little round ones a lot. What are their sizes and how do I find them? The link in the video only had 2. Im not sure which one to order on its own. Also, the sand paper linked is unavailable, anything specific I should look for in sand paper? And the dust mask link isn’t working anymore. Anything specific to look for there? I’ve just been using a 3ply face mask like you wear at a drs office, I’m not sure if that’s enough. Thank you!!

Just starting out, really enjoy your videos. A question: I have to carve a ring box with names, letters pretty small. Would you follow the same concept of continual light passes until deep enough, or would you switch to a flat engraving bit, like the dremel 108/111.

Great tutorials. Do you have some suggestions what type of wood is best for carving ? I tried your advices but had problems with the wood which was irregulary hard on some places so my tool "flipped". I think it was Blacknut(not sure if the translation is correct) wood I used. Anyway thx for your tutorials Greetz from Germany
