Yes, and also, doing it without anesthesia and advanced life support providers present runs the risk of triggering a vagal response which is inside the butthole, and this causes life threatening bradycardia or other heart arrhythmia

In fairness, the lense was supposed to fit in the hose so the edges would ideally never touch your body. I don't know when I decided to be for to a DIY colonoscopy but here we are.
