Hey yknow how you tell the difference between a crow and a raven? Other than general size, the only real visual difference is that while a raven has four pinion feathers on the end of its tail, a crow only has three. So, what's the difference between a crow and a raven? It's a matter of a pinion.

For real though, easiest way to tell is to look at the beak. Crows have a straight beak and raven's hook down at the end.
