I loved his spirit and unique sound. Something special when song writers sing their own songs.

You know I used to think Steve Perry had the prettiest voice in the world until the Lord brought me to Bryan Duncan a couple years back. I would just like to say how blessed we are that this man has worked so hard to bring us this much joy and wonderful spiritual enlightenment🙏❣ Wow, just wow❣❣❣❣❣

BD is such an awesome singer & brother in Christ. Still very youthful in voice & demeanor ! I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan in some depth at his Concert at Cal State Fullerton in about 1986. He'd gone solo after signing lead for Sweet Comfort Band from 1974 to 1984. Back then I was 22 and I'd arrived early for his evening concert. Bryan pulled up next to me in his pickup - his helpers not yet arrived. So I helped him schlep the merch boxes to his display booth. For my "pay" I got a "Have Yourself Committed" sweatshirt ! We chatted about things. At the end of the performance we hung out a bit. One girl asked Bryan if he'd play the song "You Led Me To Believe" - an earlier SCB standard. He obliged and sat at the Grand Piano & proceeded to play & sing for our intimate crowd of 15 or 20 admirers. Amazing memories ! This is one reason I LOVE Gospel - CCM Music so much, the artists are SO genuine & accessible, not lofty secular idols. I even recall Bryan told me he'd just found out they were pregnant with their 1st or 2nd child just that afternoon. Btw, check out Sweet Comfort Bands 6 or 7 albums BD did with Randy Thomas - fabulous music that will never leave my Album rotation !

I have enjoyed Bryan's music...and his infectious joy and energy for many, many years. He brings his gift so effortlessly (seemingly) blessing us when we are "up" and when we are 'down"...but always pointing us toward Jesus as our source. Thanks for sharing!

"Heavenly Father, Remember my Mother" is a beautiful, touching song. Bryan Duncan's voice is a blessing which captures the listener and communicates the Love of God in a sweet, smooth and authentic manner.
I loved listening to your songs as they inspired my faith through the good and challenging times. I hope you'll come to New Zealand once the borders open. May the words from your songs continue to uplift, inspire, encourage those in their faith with God...

For all those people who read the comments, I am the person who misspells Bryan's first name (Brian) even though while I am writing, it never occurs to me, so I apologize for that blunder. I have been fascinated for many years about how you are able to pull-off all your music without having a band. Years ago, you were using Digital Audio Tape when you did not have a live band backing you. Technology has changed, and DAT isn't used these days. You sit at something that resembles a piano, but sounds like a B3 Hammond Organ at times, and other times like several different synths (Roland, Yamaha, and Prophet) from the 1980's. Sometimes you are playing the keys, other times, not playing, just singing. Very intriguing and puzzling. As you sit at the keys, you play along with the music that is recorded, yet you are also pushing buttons. You do not have to explain your trade secrets, but whether you have a live band or not, you are able to perform all your music and do not have to rely on band members, and yet the music does not suffer in any way. With or without a live band, you kill it every time, and your vocals still sound great like they always do, but your speaking voice has slowed down. If anyone has any idea how Bryan makes the keyboard that looks like a piano perform all those functions, please let my know with a reply. As always, I love you Bryan.

He so dang good. Unfortunately, a perfect example of a brilliant voice that can sell songs that aren’t that great… I think if he let other people write more of his songs, he would’ve been way bigger. The absolute BEHEMOTH of a talent. Also, he was always way cooler than the audience of super white conservative people in front of him. Just way cooler. Shoulda been a buncha black folk. So funky jazzy. Vocals are insanely good. All the songs just seem like some thing I could write while I’m strolling around the house…
