I believe the most important that is related to money is how you handle it. I don't see any wrong with play the lottery. The winning of lottery does not mean the love of money.

I believe it's ok. I love working but working for man it's no guarantee an employer can fire me for practically no reason putting me into poverty. When God Blesses he adds no Sorrow to it. I wait on his leading I follow him.

There are about 2,000 scriptures in the Bible talking about money and money management. Funny how wealthy pastors teach only about tithes and offerings and don't seem to think exploiting the poor is biblically unethical. They use tithe and offerings money in their multiple business ventures globally. They don't empower financially illiterate Christians by teaching them about the tax system, investment, acquiring properties, residual income, estate planning, etc. which are taught in the Bible by the way. Giving free turkeys and can food at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and free food and used clothes during the year ... that's not economic empowerment. How about you, wealthy pastors, you teach them the truth about how you rock the capitalistic system to get the money? You don't have any business telling the financially illiterate, the low-income, what not to do to obtain riches unless you come with a solution (besides, "give your money to the church") ... tell them what you do to get rich, tell them the truth!!! ... Don't come with your oversimplified answer: God bless me ... Come on, you teach the poor to work hard a 9-5 job and expect God to bless them while you don't do that yourself! Hypocrite Christians!

In the New Testament we are not committed to pay tithing, but yet so many preachers take it easy wealth. So I reject all of your stances on not playing the lottery. @@mike.p.1400 Not for the Christian. In fact, even Old Testament tithing had little to do with money at all. And as the other person mentioned, unless you’re from the tribe of Levi, it’s meaningless. Modern pastors have fleeced the flock, unknowingly perhaps, but still. You can give all the offerings and gifts you want. There is no Christian tithe.

One need not pay a extorting tithe based on a lie. One ought to be a cheerful giver, and can give any amount they have been given to use by grace. I abhor the give to get religion that you see on TV. A good way to make people feel good about their lack of money is to tell them it’s because God doesn’t want them to have it. It’s also a good way to get them to not eat the wealthy. I don’t doubt that God takes care of needs however wealth surpasses needs and takes care of wants. For the record, I don’t play the lottery but I wonder if it’s because I’m told i’m not supposed to. Instead I’ve just to stop want anything I can’t afford but instead be grateful that my needs are met. I can’t honestly say this is how I dreamt life would be though. The reality issue that you can’t have “favored” without “favorites” and we can’t all be that.

Anything can be addicted just like the bible doesn't say don't drink alcohol. You know a taste is not bad but you know you can loose yourself after it you choose not to do it. But for those who are Christian and sometimes drink some wine there is nothing wrong with it I suppose.

There is a difference between a lottery and Gambline. Lottery is not just for money. For example, American visa Lottery is a lottery. In the bible also, there were several mentions of casting lots which is lottery.
