also flying neither to fast nor to slow is important because you will either have to constantly push or pull the elevator to keep level flight if you're not flying mid-range speed. i have not yet tried adding a much heavier lipo which might increase flying weight and stability as well (mine is around 700 grams)

yes, it's all rather smooth footage. flying in zero wind conditions so far has been the key. you can see other videos from me ("first flights") where the footage is pretty shaky because of wind (although only 20 km/h) and also turbulences caused by the midday sun heating up the ground. so evening, when the ground is cooling down is best.
