That's a Grrrrreat video and mug Paul, Thanks again.... For the sake of the employees let's hope Kellogg's stay for many more years to come, it's also an icon of Trafford Park, Stretford and surrounding areas!!! I used to fish in and around the Kellogg's basin back in the 80s (Bridgewater Canal). Grrrrreat Pike fishing!! :D Cheers!

I never knew that stuff about the origin of Kellogg's. As kids in the mid '50s we used to play in a stream by that factory, and blag rides on the footplates of the little steam locomotives that pulled wagons around the extensive (but now all gone) Trafford Park railway system.

There's a very short section of rail, maybe 30 feet or so, buried in the road where I stood at the end of the video. It made me wonder if there's enough info about it for a video? Send me an email when you're starting up at the mill. Looking forward to that. wickedacorn@gmail.com

I worked there in the 1960s; only did 6 months as it was shift work which, being a young person, didn't suit my lifestyle. Interesting that the original proprietor took up an anti masterbatory stance, as all the company hierarchy at the time were a bunch of wankers.

Superb video as usual. Thank you for the content. This closure will leave one big hole in the community that the council have not even addressed prior to the upcoming election. Maybe they will close some more arterial routes and cone off road lanes without telling us....
