For the sake of the employees let's hope Kellogg's stay for many more years to come, it's also an icon of Trafford Park, Stretford and surrounding areas!!! I used to fish in and around the Kellogg's basin back in the 80s (Bridgewater Canal). Grrrrreat Pike fishing!! :D Cheers!

I never knew that stuff about the origin of Kellogg's. As kids in the mid '50s we used to play in a stream by that factory, and blag rides on the footplates of the little steam locomotives that pulled wagons around the extensive (but now all gone) Trafford Park railway system.

I worked there in the 1960s; only did 6 months as it was shift work which, being a young person, didn't suit my lifestyle. Interesting that the original proprietor took up an anti masterbatory stance, as all the company hierarchy at the time were a bunch of wankers.
