Corolla Hatchback: Borla 40842s Muffler

I’m running headers, custom mid pipe, and Borla muffler, the stage 2 tune from Torkmotorsport refine and mature my exhaust note somehow, also helped reduce the drone slightly.
P.S I enjoy the current Vibrant muffler setup a lot more

Most definitely! Better acceleration and better top speed. The torque is also better as well because I can climb hills and have more people in the car without feeling sluggish. The main thing about this tune is that it also made my steering wheel heavier , more sensitive brake and gas pedal. The 1st to 2nd gear it’s a lot smoother too. Go into sports mode and it’s a world of differences because the sport mode WILL actually enhance the stage2. Also weird because it reduce my drone and change the exhaust tone slightly

@@mathislane178 stock is 169 I believe and if you have air intake, with full exhaust (Header, MidPipe, Catback) close to 200

@@mathislane178 you meant you just got the tune? I’m not sure about the fuel injector but I do know from Tork himself he says the mid pipe on the corolla hatchback is the most restrictive, performance cat would help yes but the biggest problem on the midpipe is that outlet connected to the catback, I believe it goes to 2.25 out to a 1.5 hole (like a bottle neck) best would be get a new midpipe , and a new catback with at least a 2.25 or 2.5. Headers is up to you but it definitely helps because the OEM header has a catalytic converter

Thank you sir, I’ll say close to 200, like around 195HP. You can definitely feel it in the early mid rpm and higher rpm. Torque is better too! I can climb hills and carry more people with ease

@@Mambaliege24 oh yes it’s definitely not bad, really balance car. It terms of speed, agility, brake, MPG, looks and reliability! It’s not the fastest but it’s fun and agile. The stage 2 tune just really awakens it. Besides better pedal and WHP. It also made the steering wheel bit stiff, increase response and sensitivity on brake pedal and gas pedal. Changed the tone and reduce my drone. My MPG is at 25-28 in the city and that ain’t half bad.

Maybe around 1.5-1.7K. I did it one at a time so it’s easier. All the muffler, res, cat, header was provided by me and the shop just bolt and weld.
