i love this truly inspiring and the edits with the scenes really helps to captivate the wonderful moments created within the set all those years. :)

I loved watching this, me and my partner have been watching corrie from the very start recently and it makes me emotional seeing all the history and iconic scenes that have been filmed here and the history that was made, stan & hilda, jack & Vera, bet lynch and all the icons. Lucky enough to visit this set years back and wish I could of understand back then it's importance to my mums generation. Such a comfort to go back and revisit old episodes

Visited the old Granda set before it moved. Whilst stood gawping outside, we saw 'Cilla' walking towards the studio, passed right by us and had a gorgeous perfume on! Then about 5 minutes later, 'Tommy' exited the 'Street'. They were the only 2 actors we saw. 😊

The upstairs rooms over the houses were used as production offices / Meeting offices. Occasionally, one of the actors would stick their heads out of an upstairs window to give the illusion they were in the bedroom.

Thanks for taking the time to film this and post it. I was there in 2014 I think for the one of the final tours of the old set. Inceridibly sad to see how it's looking so derelect in your footage. I noticed the post box lying on the ground towards the end of the video. Where was this in relation to its original postion outside the Kabin? I wonder what happened to this box? Do you know? The new set got the same identical type of post box and it's originally from St Anne's PO in Lytham St.Annes. The box in the new set still has the post box number of FY8 4 on its plate.

I went there in 2023 and i couldn't believe how small it was. It's now a carpark with only the community center building still standing and the red brick embankment. The backdrop picture of the next street is also still there although now faded.
@hardcoresetscom28 күн бұрын
Same! The former medical centre building is a Victorian stables block which also housed the hospital set and some prison sets too. Hopefully it will remain there for a long time to come.

With brookside they were real houses that they filmed in with proper interiors, plumbing and electrics, with coronation street they were just props with no proper interiors, plumbing or electrics, all the interiors you see on Coronation street were and still are studio sets @@DOSeater

Wonder who the red pilor post box is, as just post is valuable before starting to stick the one off Coronation Street, and its one that all the classic street characters have interacted with while filming the show?

Sure is. It lay on the garage floor for a while but looks like it probably ended up in the skip, unless someone saved it!

shame they have abandoned this it's television history that was made there, they could have turned it into a museum with wax works from Tussauds also a television theme park.

Yeah, just behind the bookies as you first enter I think? Judy Mallett's one was still floating around when the set was abandoned too - it was real stone (like Stan's I think) so wouldn't have been easy for someone to just 'walk off' with... makes me wonder where the headstones are now!
