These clips show Gail’s had her best storylines now and her character’s pretty much run its course. Even her feuds with Eileen are really tedious now. Turning her into a comedy character with olives, singing and shooting Lorraine Kelly doesn’t work either.

I remember her marriage to Brian Tilsley in the 80s when they were always fighting. Her anger seemed so real. I don't watch it anymore but she's one of the best actors in it but seriously underused now that the mantle seems to have been passed to the younger Platts.
