I cry EVERY time I see this scene. Not just because of the touching way it's been done, but because of my love for Jack and Vera. Having watched them since I was a kid, they were almost like TV grandparents. Beautiful scene played out by two fantastic legends!

You don't get couples like Jack & Vera anymore in soaps. They were great characters in the same mould as Hilda and Stan. Despite all jacks cheating ways with other women, especially as Vince StClair, they (he and V) still stayed together and got old together.

When he was dancing with Vera, the tears were rolling down my cheeks, my missus thought I was taking the p**s but nope, It was such an emotional exit. They were the heart and soul of Corrie imo and it was a great loss to the show when they both departed
