I have one of these and the 5 series. I also have a beast in an Underwood Model 12. Electrics are so helpful during arthritis flare ups :) Great video. Thanks again for taking the time and effort of making these videos. Its appreciated.

You mentioned the Power return "can reallly slam that carriage across". Sometimes I've accidentally hit my manual return so hard a space beyond the left margin! I'm have a Smith-Corona 5 series manual + an electric 5TE which work beautifully. This Coronet looks like it has the quality of the 5TE + modern beauty on the keyboard "deck" If my manual wears out the Coronet would be my next choice!

Cool tip: On the SCM electrics if there is no red indicator on the ribbon selector you have a special typeface.

Yes, you are right. We are all intently staring, looking for only a black and white (blank) ribbon color selector!

Great video! Any idea what these Coronets originally sold for new? Haven’t been able find that.

Thanks Kevin. They would have sold for a premium over their manual counterparts. I'd guess between 150-200 in the 1960s which is likely close to 800 today
