Here are a couple of legs from Orlando International to Las Vegas International, then to Los Angeles International in a private Gulfstream jet. The night landing into Las Vegas was quite beautiful. This was my first time landing at LAX, so I was very excited.

A novas comment. If I was flying with you guys and there was an emergency. After watching how well you both work together I would have NO worries at all of your ability to deal with it. I also love all the extra video parts like the outside the flying world when your on the ground. I am loving watching your videos and hope to see many more. Thanks for all your hard work .

I flew as a C-130 crew member with the US Air Force back in the 70's & 80's ... very impressed with their crew coordination. As long as they've obviously flown together, never a deviation.

WOW! WHAT a trip down memory lane! A former controller at Las Vegas tower/TRACON (77-79) and Los Angeles TRACON afterward, plus extensive flying in/out of both LAS and LAX. Retired from flying after a Citation CJ2 gig in 2008. Fly safe.... "MD" my ATC controller initials

I find these videos incredibly soothing and calming. To be honest, I use them as a symbol for how to approach my day's work. I want it to be well planned in advance, have an acute awareness of time, space and other traffic, keep all communications open, keep my eyes open, enjoy the view, avoid bad weather where possible, and deal with any and all problems in a calm and systematic manner. The way you guys fly....is the way I want to live my life. Thanks and keep up the good work. If you ever make it to Adelaide, let me show you the Botanical Gardens, local beaches and Barossa Wine region.

To tell U the truth, I know quite a bit of the job. I'm an ''old'' ex- Portuguese Air Force pilot. I made my elementary and basic formation both with the De Havillland Chipmunk MkII, and the Cessna 372 Skymaster. After that I moved on to the Casa C212 Aviocar. I thought next obvious move would be the mighty Lockheed C130. But due the lack of formation courses at that particular time I change course and graduated as air traffic controller. But drawing a career in civil aviation, it would be a dream becoming a corporate pilot.

So, you got to visit Santa Monica and Venice, it used to be a nice place. Now it's just a tourist trap, and the original locals have been driven out. Gentrification in action, decided Oregon would be a nicer place. Oregon allows open carry, and that is a major selling point for me. I wished I could have had a sidearm in Venice, I might have stayed there longer.

You got lucky and they had you on the south! That taxi can be brutal from the north to the south or vice versa. I’ve had a couple times from startup to wheels up over an hour , when taxiing from Atlantic over to the north side. It’s always nice when you get the south side🙌

Loved that you got to fly LAS-LAX and land at LA for your first visit! Was a gorgeous landing too for your first time landing at the City of Angeles. Ya got a 'Nice' from left seat too. How fast do you normally exit on a high speed? What would be your max speed - 60/70kts?? Goal to eat an In'Out cheeseburger under finals.
@CorporatePilotLife
@CorporatePilotLife 6 жыл бұрын
It was a great trip for sure! I don't like taking those high speed taxiways very fast, maybe 40 or 50 knots I would say. I would rather take the plane down to the next exit rather than have an issue being too fast on the taxiway.

This was a good one for the Instrument and arrivals info...it shows just how hectic it gets in busy airspace....high speeds, sequencing points on your arrival...You may have 6-7 points in the box, but when you least expect it, ATC makes you cut the corner... lots of knob spinning... can't be snoozing or sipping Cappuccino! At the end...STAY OFF those stupid electric scooters! Have a buddy of mine who was on 320s at Spirit...fell off, banged his noggin' permanently grounded ...Sim instructor now!
