Correct Way to Fit a Knee Immobilizer

​@@aliciacenturion8511You'll have to adjust when going from sitting to standing. When standing the knee will straighten a little more making it feel loose. When going from sitting to standing, you just have to straighten your leg a little, then tighten. Then it will stay tight.

Really nice setup w/ the pad for the anatomically incorrect, one size fits all metal rods that go behind the knee! They can be so uncomfortable! Also the finishing touch w/ the bit of fabric that goes over the knee cap just to cover the swollen or infected knee which one may be self conscious about 😊

The knee immobilizer that I purchased didn’t come with the back of knee padding. Do you buy that separately?

The doctor didn't give me back padding and wow this bar under my knee pit is DIGGING into me hard.. it hurts.. I have to have it adjusted to the side which isn't properly fitted because the knee immobilizer is meant for overweight men when I am a petite women.. god I am so mad.

I got one of these at the hospital and the guy discarded the back-of-knee padding. Now I’m experiencing numbness below the brace... is this normal?

Are.. are you suppose to be able to walk with knee immobilizers on? or is he advertising it with a perfectly fine knee for the video? The ER doctor didn't tell me crap about my knee immobilizer I just looked everything up and I gotta keep it on for at least 6 weeks. But the doctor also said I would be able to walk on my leg after a few days (um, no?) after my patella dislocation I had for 3 hours. So I am really misguided and confused. The purpose for my knee IMMOBILIZER is to immobilize it to heal, that means crutches/wheelchair until the healing no moving time is up right? But can you WALK on it? How? Your knee can't bend? I am so confused and frustrated.

@@starlight_acreyuh It may not be the proper fit for you. They gave me one for overweight men, I am a petite female only 115 pounds.. I had to keep hiking it up on my leg over and over due to the extra room it had, even with max tightness. To me, it sounds like you got one that is smaller than you need, causing pressure on the sore patella area, and that is harmful and can cause it to heal improperly due to it not stabilizing it in resting position, but rather a strained position. Please get a follow up check up and let the doctor know your discomfort with your brace/immobilizer, they will hopefully allocate you a new better sized one..

I have the brace with the dials on both sides. I can’t walk on left leg, broke tibia, fractured hairline femur. PT in 4 weeks. It’s so uncomfortable to sleep in this brace!!
