I genuinely believe corrections is one of the best things to happen to American TV in decades. It is far more personal and intimate than television has been in a long long time. Even though corrections itself is only on KZbin, it makes Late Night itself a better combined experience.

I feel the same way! I'd go as far as to call it metamodern, it hits so many beats and creates a true mythology around timely gags and good-natured pranking, even though the concept is based on a kind of adversarial premise. Pretty magical stuff, Correkshuns is one of my favorite shows ever for its intimacy and humanity, and the amazing laffs. Once in a generation type stuff. Regards, on/off foreign wannabe jackal.

JACKAL FOR THE WIN! I was at an event at Rochester Institute of Technology where Seth was speaking and I was lucky enough to go to the very limited meet and greet. The organizers wouldn’t let me bring my mug up for Seth to sign. I complained to Seth and got my picture. I hung out after hoping he would change his mind. He looked for me and said I figured it was one of you jackals (in that way he says it) and signed my jackal mug. I was so very excited. Seth really is the nicest guy! I’ve never missed a corrections and it makes my week. THANK YOU SETH for taking the time!

CORRECTION: I'm French. I live in the US now. I love the Late Show (except when Seth tries to speak French, apologies to his mother). I would like to point out that there were in fact three French revolutions. The main one did indeed take place in the 18th century. But the two others took place in the 19th century. The February Revolution, or the Revolution of 1848, took place (you guessed it) in 1848. There was also the Revolution of July, which took place at the very end of July 1830. The memorable death of the character Gavroche in Les Misérables (the endless book as well as the endless musical) takes place during that revolution. So, you COULD have been right, Seth. I mean, you weren't, but you could have been.
@lennychurch

Correction, Les Mis was about the 1832 Rebellion. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_Rebellion Seth was technically right from the start.

@@lennychurch I concede. I was referring to Les Misérables from my distant memory of the novel, which I didn't like. So, it was a revolt. There were many such events in nineteenth century France, which was the point I was trying to make and that I ended up making awkwardly.

@@annestewart5741 I can’t read what’s under it either, and I’m not entirely certain it even is a definition, but I think from the construction of the word we can deduce that “Turduckal” is a turkey containing a duck containing a jackal.

As an "international viewer", I've got to say, that am relieved, that NBC's shipment guidelines have changed and that I can buy a mug and have it shipped to Europe without further trouble. Guess, that means, that I don't have to go through with my plans to marry an American woman, settle down in NY State, have two kids with her (maybe three... Samantha, Jochen and Jeremy-Günther), but then my work visa expires all of a sudden and I have to go back to Germany and I say "Honey, my work visa expired, I'm afraid I have to return to Germany, will you join me", and she says "I don't know what to say; the kids go to school now, they have all their friends here in America, that's a bit of a shocker..." - and I say "Fine, then I have to leave on my own... but we can still visit each other", to which she says "Of course! You are the love of my life!"... And now I've got her where I need her to be, answering "Oooh - that's so sweet, honey. Honey... on your next visit, ... do you think you could bring me a box full of Seth Meyer's Corrections mugs? That'd be totally awesome!" But now I can order them online, shipment to Europe isn't a problem anymore... but I'm somehow even more interested in starting a family now...

Hi Seth! I'm an international fan from China. I've been trying to send you a postcard for weeks, but no post office will accept it. They say that they're currently unable to accept mail from foreigners due to recent Covid restrictions (I'm sure you've heard, but they're pretty draconian about such things here lately). I do hope to be able to send a card out to you at some point in the future. In fact, I've saved a postcard from the grand opening of the Shanghai Disneyland for just such an occasion. Don't worry, you don't need to send a mug out to me. I do not consider myself to be a jackal. I'm simply a fan from abroad, especially of Corrections. -Michael P.S. Just FYI, if the mugs are made in China, nobody here gets Christmas off anyway, so don't feel bad. Now, should you have made them work during the Chinese New Year, well, God help you...

Excellent post! I can only imagine how difficult the COVID restrictions must be. I saw a protest by factory workers standing up to the authorities and it's scary to see how heavy handed the regime can be. The world knows how critical Chinese factory output is to the global economy. It concerns me that the way people are being treated by the authorities may worsen an already bad situation by hurting the moral and spirit of the people of the DRC. Best of luck and may the coming year bring good fortune, good health and improved understanding from the State
