When you said that your sound guy was in Australia, that joke actually works because you would have a very slight internet delay due to the distance. @OliveDasi2 жыл бұрын
I genuinely thought that the internet delaywas the joke. Now I just feel very confused and like a nerd.
@icantollie2 жыл бұрын
@Dasi The Internet delay _was_ the joke. Unfortunately the joke doesn't work anymore because it's no longer 1995: the Internet latency between New York City and, say, Perth, is less than 10 milliseconds, faster than you can release a mouse button after pressing it when clicking
@OliveDasi2 жыл бұрын
@@icantollie When I lived in Australia in the 2010s there still was a massive delay with some aspects of the internet. That's why I was confused.
@icantollie Жыл бұрын
@@OliveDasi Yeah, you’re right; speed of light through optical fiber is roughly 31% slower than the speed of light in vacuum, or approximately 128535 miles per second; divide that by the air-line distance between, say, Silicon Valley and Perth (say, 9184 miles) and you’d get a theoretical round-trip latency of approximately 1/7 of a second if there were like a direct fiber optic link between San Jose and Perth. (Obviously real-life latencies would be higher due to packet routing, network congestion, and server response times, especially during peak Internet traffic hours.) Add to that that the typical reaction time for a human between seeing something on screen and clicking a mouse is between 1/5 to 1/4 of a second, and the fastest that a sound effects guy in New Zealand (or Australia) could play the pillow-anvil sound effect after seeing Seth drop it on video would be around 1/3 of a second

I was going to get the same tattoo at 9:07 last weekend, but when I sent a text to my tattoo guy to schedule it, he replied "Too busy."

The most furniture stacked in an armed conflict was actually during the Viking conquests, in the Battle of Ikea.

Aren't Vikings Norwegian and IKEA is from Sweden?
@jamesb45232 жыл бұрын
@@lynnhettrick7588 - IKEA is Swedish-Dutch, and Vikings were Norsemen, whose modern descendants are Scandinavians, which includes the Swedes.

@@lynnhettrick7588 I don't think contemporary borders were in place in Viking times. But Ikea probably was.

I laughed a lot with the corrections this week. 😂

Corrections is a brilliant concept and should have won an Emmy! It's so up close and personal, you feel like you're part of a big family and that idiot who thinks the laughter is canned has never watched Corrections and doesn't understand the affectionate relationship that Seth (and through him we jackals) has with his writers and crew, you can't fake that!

If they callback to Seth's tank top photo, and each time he's more swol, I will be extremely happy. By February, he should be an Avengers-level threat.

I mean it’s like a flat one … but the joke that Seth is even more jacked as more pics he shows is just great 😅😂
