It's not a myth, I love the smell of almonds, but absolutely can't stand the bitter aftertaste of them. And that taste is from the tiny amounts of amygalin, which breaks down into prussic acid and hydrocyanic acid in sweet almonds. (Bitter almonds are totally poisonous, but sweet almonds have been bred down from the bitter kinds and have much less prussic and hydrocyanic acid compounds in them).

I feel like this video is under appreciated for the amazing practical effects that went into it. If you didn’t know, they set up 8 DSLR cameras in a custom built circle green screen room. As he dances around the edges of green screen he’s looking up at each camera separately. Then in post they combine all the footage of all 8 DSLRs, key out the green (so it’s just him dancing), into one focal point - which is what we are viewing. By displacing the action as he moves around the room it creates an illusion like he’s dancing with himself AND technically he is, but because they’re using 8 cameras you can see the same action from 8 different angles. The last step is they shot a plate of the green screen with no one in it so when they key him out, he has something to stand on. It’s all very cool and impressive!! Love the song too.
