@@sivasankarant9195 sure, I first completed the data science certificate from IBM, then the Deep Learning certificate. Both on coursera. Now I'm focusing on getting the ML on AWS certificate following courses on udemy. It also is very important to always implement what you learn so you actually know how to use it. Also following tutorials on youtube and getting through bugs that come up is a great way to acquire more skills. For example, I recently learned how to fine tune gpt2 for a personal project I'm working on.

Search for Dynamo Dream Episode 1 Salad Mug, on Ian Hubert’s KZbin channel. It’s a cyberpunk dystopian sci fi web series, but it’s set in a universe that Ian has already been working on another series for, just called Dynamo, which you can find on the KarmaPirates channel. The worldbuilding and unconventional storytelling is excellent.

Niko out of context #1: "Jake's looking for photos of himself as a child because I've requested that from every person in the office.."
@GerryRR3 жыл бұрын
Nanite probably changes things to the same degree that GPUs themselves did with the first Riva TNT and 3dfx cards. Nanite eliminates an entire step for artists, and it's a tedious and not fun step that isn't really about working creatively. On top of that it allows for orders of magnitude more triangles in a scene at once - it's a huge step forward. I hope that Nanite will allow developers to run a benchmark "flythrough" of their games and find out which models are "wasting" the most triangles so they can worry about optimization after the fact with a tool that tells them exactly where they can cut things down.

The solution to storage issues of huge models could be procedural generation, in real-time, possibly using hardware acceleration. Some games already do that. Or incredibly fast decompression. Either way, just downloading huge amounts of raw data is completely unfeasible.
@ElectroVenik903 жыл бұрын
49:00 But Wren, right now if a game wants to amaze you with it's graphics while still working, you are downloading 5-10 different detail versions of model and texture for every object in the game. With Nanite you just can dowload high-fidelity objects and don't bother with all the rest.

Its interesting that you guys bring up the Mona Lisa when talking about face generation as one theory of why she looks a bit odd is that he started painting her when she was a young adult, then he left it for years so when he started again he was either painting it without her, or painting it with a now aged subject. So its like old school face mash/face generation. Also she has no eyebrows.

That's mainly because they didn't do any optimization. They pulled assets from quixel and put them in the level and that was it. So they probably have a lot of wasted detail in places - normally you avoid this as a developer because of the performance implications, but Nanite makes that a non-issue. You could still go through and optimize if you want to reduce the size on disk though.
