Really glad to see Corris on display. I must thank it as it inspired me to do a layout that will be at an exhibition itself in August an achievement for me for sure!

One of the things I like about Statfold is the way it shows narrow gauge doing it’s thing, sharp corners and gradients shifting loads without fuss.
@GWilliamsonModels9 ай бұрын
Yes that’s quite right, and they thrash the engines which is great fun

It was nice seeing Corrish.... even know I didn't know it was called Corrish until I asked 😂But was nice to talk to you and seeing Corrish in person also watching the progress of how Corrish was built was awesome to watch. Statfold Barn is also a brilliant venue and that weekend was my second time being there. Will be there later on this year for Warley at Statfold. Lovely video.

Yes, since the show I’ve ordered name badges for the layout, to help with that! Quite a few people were scanning their show booklets to see what the hell it was 😅 Great to meet you though, hopefully see you again

What a delightful video from the day we also enjoyed at Statfold on the Saturday, for us it also started with a ride on the train.

Ah man that cut down version of Russell on the whr layout is so good I've always preferred that version of him, corrish is looking great too ❤

This was my third visit to the Statforld Model Railway weekend. It was a really pleasant surprise to see Corrish there and made me realise how small and intricate the details and lining you carry out are. I am even more impressed with your work as the KZbin videos do not portray the size.

It’s flattering that I’m able to say that’s a common comment when watchers of the channel see it in real life. I think I’m just used to it so I don’t notice it!

I can't afford to model or travel, so these vids are always wonderful to see! Great to see Corrish take its rightful place next to Talyllyn! Also, fwiw, your American accent had a tone of northern Appalachia in it, which makes sense as there are so many families with Welsh ancestry here
@GWilliamsonModels9 ай бұрын
Thanks, I’ve actually got a bit of an interest in the Appalachian area, I used to play the fallout games all of the time 😅

Well George. I enjoyed the train ride. I was there for the 009 Society Exhibition last September and that too was my first visit. Having said that - I have heard about it many times as my brother, David Smith, is the archivist of the Hunslet blueprint archives there.

The show at Stafold, and Statfold itself is a brilliant place (probably no bias there from me) Sadly i didnt get chance to go round the full show and missed talking to you/seeing Corrish in person. I can highly recommend the enthusiast days if you're back this way (usually March/June) as theres double the number of engines in steam! Was the ride down on Isibutu shot from Sunday morning? Looks like me hanging out the cab side! Lovely engine to crew.
@GWilliamsonModels9 ай бұрын
Correct, it was Sunday morning, but worked better on the video putting it first 😅 So it could well have been you!
@liamgough65209 ай бұрын
I have to ask, as a Sunday visitor - did you find Tom Rolt's whistle yet? Or is just a mystery that one day in a few years you may find it in a bush on Corris? On a less puzzling note it was great meeting you in real life.
@GWilliamsonModels9 ай бұрын
I didn’t find it! As soon as I got home I put a new one on, so yes, it lives for eternity on Corrish somewhere 😅 Thankyou for spending the time to talk, always lovely meeting fans of the channel

Looks like I missed a good'un .... Ho-hum! Corrish looked amazing and the idea of an exhibition "arrangement" with the good folks of the TRPS sounds very promising. Evil thought for the day: Wonder if real Dolgoch could handle the curves on the real Corris? 🤔
