Yes, first half a bit too testing for me. As always an excellent and very informative vlog of your experience. Thanks for sharing.

A great route, I cycled from Spean Bridge to Corrour via Loch Ossian, after a pit stop at the station I embarked on the tough route back to Spean Bridge via Loch Treig and the Lairig Leacach Bothy, it was particularly difficult terrain wise and the searing heat and swarms of cleggs never helped either. Other than that, a decent day was had. Well done on completing a thoroughly tough route.

This is class - I've commented on your Facebook post of this amigo. Excellent 'content' as they say.

Pedalled in from Loch Lochy over the lairig Leacach and thro to Corrour about 20years ago. Don't remember it that much except that heading down to Treig it was mainly deer trails I rode on. I recall getting into a nasty bog at the top of Loch Treig, knee deep stuff, those were the days. Its a great bit of country to go thro, it brought back a few memories.

We pedalled down Strath Ossian to Corrour and the SYHA back in April this year (2024]. Sadly we were into a headwind down the strath and even had to pedal downhill! Great area to ride in though, and the Youth Hostel is a must ‘off- grid‘ location to visit. Thanks for sharing.

Have done the Loch Ossian gravel trails north and south but that route you took looks a bit too much of a pain to attempt on my gravel bike.

Yep. Totally. That's part of the reason I choose these routes, so you don't have to 😀

Strava Heatmap is showing a route that turns east just before the bothy and follows the eastern side of the glen, and joins the westerly route you took, did you see it, discount it or is it also a 'hike-a-bike'?

I did consider that, but Komoot marked it with boggy sections too! So I flipped a coin and ended up on this path instead.

@@RustyRidesGravel Thanks - I'm looking at doing this route next month, I'll try the other 'path' (and post up).

@@RustyRidesGravelI did it, so you don’t have to… It’s dire. In the end took me 2 hours to do the 4 miles of so to Loch Treig from the bothy. I also the next day did Glen Almond (thanks for the video giving me the suggestion), tough climb but awesome descent.
