Honestly, they don't teach us this. Mostly due to the fact that they don't want more insurrections or rebellions for their own corruptions. Hence, they tie us down with multiple debts such as car loans, college loans, and home loans.

More likely it was just one town and the GI party ended up splitting back into the Republican and Democratic camps. Not to mention the corruption in McMinn was comic book levels compared to Boss Crump who was smart enough to make sure citizens actually benefitted and kept his head down unlike Cantrell and Mansfield.

There are many side comments made here that are absolutely factually inaccurate. Such as FDR’s socialist policies taking the US out of the Great Depression. Is unequivocally deepened and lengthened the depression, and the US didn’t officially get out of it until a few years after the war. As a masters in Econ, I studied this in depth. That’s just one of many points that seems the author got from some modern govt issues textbook, not objective truth of historical events. Very disappointing to hear. I can only assume with his accent that he is reading propaganda and doesn’t know true US reality, only the pushed perception of past reality by modern propagandists/Marxists

It's just an overview. If you find it that egregious, than explain what really happened, since you're the one with the masters degree in economics.

His policies may not have ended the depression, but they made the lives of normal Americans much easier, and saved tens of thousands more lives from starvation. Some economists hate the New Deal so much for the interference they feel it is that they forget that the New Deal made the lives of average Americans much better😊. Is that refutable?
