Corruption & Complicity: The Assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia | Crime Documentary

On 16th October 2017, Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was assassinated in a car bomb attack close to her home. Her career focused on investigative reporting into government corruption and money laundering, and all of her findings were published on her personal blog Running Commentary. Attracting over 400,000 views per day, her blog was read more than all of the country’s newspapers combined.
But with these high-profile revelations came relentless harassment and intimidation. From killing her dogs to burning her home, Daphne Caruana Galizia was constantly under threat. Her final blog post read, « There are crooks everywhere you look now. The situation is desperate. »
While three men have been charged with her murder, it is evident that they were acting on instructions - and those behind her killing have still not been identified. Through interviews with her family and friends, as well as secretly-filmed meetings with high-level government officials, this documentary seeks to come closer to the truth about what really happened.

Politicians are often very narcissistic people. When someone threathens their career with exposing corruption, they will do EVERYTHING to make it go away. Then they talk smoothly to "the sheeps" (you and me).

I was in the parade when Malta was granted independence from Britain and it's gone downhill ever since. I hope that the EU ban the sale of Maltese passports as well as all the banana republics in the Caribbean. It's extremely dangerous for our countries to have corrupt foreigners access to our nations just because greedy and corrupt governments sell them. It takes just a stroke of a pen you'd think but payoffs are everywhere where there are politicians. Thanks for posting the story about this heroine... it deserves a wide audience

In the 16th October 2017, exactly in the day of her death, I was there…….many people were marching on the streets of Malta, I thought it was some kind of național holiday or something like that….just to Find out a few hours later, that This lady had been assasinated……tragic way to die….😢
