In Kazakhstan's capital of Nur-Sultan, Nursultan Nazarbaev and his family own a remarkable collection of palaces and grandiose properties, including a 12-hectare artificial island. This new investigation comes after a pair of RFE/RL reports that revealed more of the family's palatial properties.
CORRECTION: Svetlana Nazarbaeva is the sister-in-law of former Kazakh leader Nursultan Nazarbaev, not his sister.

I think that sentence is taken out of context, it doesn't show what he said after or before that sentence.

A while back, my father worked in Kazakhstan for an oil company from Moldova/Romania and all the business was stolen by Nazarbaev - he took it by force, threatening with jail everybody who worked for the company + put pressure on the government from Moldova to jail the son of the owner. That company had most of its money put into Kazakhstan, it was really bad after that...

*A rubbish report by an organisation that wants to destroy Kazakhstan* I am not going to say that president nazarbayev was a saint, BUT I will say that compared to all countries in central asia he served his country & people the best & all you have to do is comapre what Kazakhstan was like 30 years ago & what it is today... Yes president nazarbayev smashed many ppl & took away their money & property...because they were thieves & murderers like ablyazov for example & yes president nazarbayev forced the oil companies to renegotiate their contracts...bcz those contracts were originally done when oil prices were very low & yes president nazarbayev smashed the houranis & kicked them out...bcz they were thieving murderous satanists that tried to steal all kazakhstan It may be the case that president nazarbayev could have done better, it is easy to say that about any president, but he was not an evil man, I think kazakhstan would have been much worse off had president nazarbayev not been there after the protection of GOD

I'm deeply sorry for your family members who were affected by it, but it remains a fact that should be known and recognized by everyone, that authoritarian countries which, by definition, have a high level of corruption in each and every sphere of their activity, should be avoided as business partners.

I think anyone in government should show who or what they own and who owns them. It's too important to allow garbage into the highest office or its supporting offices. If you're corrupt or gained what u have on the backs of the society. They must be removed and money / property seized and given back to the people. It is the only way

@@luarbiasawaras8700 "Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) is a United States government funded organization that broadcasts and reports news, information, and analysis to countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Caucasus, and the Middle East where it says that "the free flow of information is either banned by government authorities or not fully developed".[6][7] " .... "Radio Free Europe was created and grew in its early years through the efforts of the National Committee for a Free Europe (NCFE), an anti-communist CIA front organization that was formed by Allen Dulles in New York City in 1949.[10][11] RFE/RL received funds covertly from the CIA until 1972.[12][13] During RFE's earliest years of existence, the CIA and U.S. Department of State issued broad policy directives, and a system evolved where broadcast policy was determined through negotiation between them and RFE staff" en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Free_Europe/Radio_Liberty
