Out if thr countless videos I have watched, the cable management you have employed on this build is world class!

Love the mod but really liking the cables, recently got me a 500D RGB case I am looking at modding but have not ventured into making my own cables yet. So I am wondering what cables you used for your corsair commander and fans etc as I absolutely hate the factory ribbon cables.

It bothers me the Corsair logos are upside down on the fans, but it still looks amazing.

what size cables did you use for your setup.? 24 pin MB / EPS 8 Pin / 16 pin PCIE

Sorry, I cannot remember this as I built this PC quite a few years ago. I think that they may have been longer than standard though so that I could get all of those bends though

What do you use to power all the fans. Do you have that many motherboard headers or is there something you plug them into

this is so satisfying to watch... lol. literally just had my 570X delivered, and i'm def doing to do the side radiator mod. any tips on what i could do to get the same exact placement for the 360mm rad as you did? any measurements?

hello, a question kindly: at minute 2 and 47 seconds,you install a sort of cover on the hole in the plate where the power supply is installed: what is it?

@dodomjr202107 жыл бұрын
Hello! I like how you modify the the chassis really awesome. I have a question though where did you get that piece to fit on the side where the power supply suppose to go? I think that's neat to cover that so the power cables won't show.

Hey man, I know I’m late by a couple years haha. But I was just curious what cables you got there and if they are a specific length or not. I want to get some clean cables like that but don’t want to get something too short.

How did you make that shroud cover for the Power supply on the side? or did you buy it somewhere?
@metallicacidcustoms8 жыл бұрын
Jacob Brender the shroud is the standard one that comes with the chassis, then I hand made the brushes Alu strip and the end cap also from Alu. I have a sheet metal brake which makes bending Alu easy
@skit3l6608 жыл бұрын
Jacob Brender dang. I've been looking for something like that

Sorry my friend, I do not have the original measurements for this shroud as I just made it up on the spot.

Nice build! How did you mount those fans beside the motherboard? Did you just mod it or it is an option from this case?
@michaelkurasz28287 жыл бұрын
I have the same build and my cables look a lot more hidden than that u can route the cables under the mobo instead of routing holes into the shroud. the only cable u can see in the front panel is the usb header from my h200i v2 as it's unavoidable

not sure why you decided to make that cut out in the motherboard tray just to route your cables when Corsair provides a giant piece of metal that you screw in to route them neatly. Also, not sure why you didn't just use the preexisting cable cut outs Corsair provided. You put the 24 pin in a really tight bend and imo, you have nice sleeved cables, you should be trying to show them off as much as possible. But that's just my opinion
@metallicacidcustoms8 жыл бұрын
The cable channel is great and all that but it did not allow me to flat route my cables like in the video. I also made a custom aluminium panel which will cover all of the cables and backside of the motherboard and the original cable channel was in the way.
@hafeezhamama95808 жыл бұрын
MetallicAcid Customs ok. Fair enough, I see where you're going with this now. Just a question though, do you plan on expanding that PSU cover?
@metallicacidcustoms8 жыл бұрын
Yes sir! You should be able to see it in upcoming video :)
@hafeezhamama95808 жыл бұрын
MetallicAcid Customs I'm considering buying this case myself and possibly making a few modifications myself. Like yourself, I want the front of the case to be completely open so I can see through the glass, but I was thinking of mounting the intake fans in a similar manner to what you did by mounting them where the hard drive tray was but instead up against the side panel or another option I was thinking of was just drilling holes in the bottom, mounting three 120 fans in the bottom, and just mounting my PSU where you mounted your 360 mm radiator. What issues would I run into for either option?

Thank you for the awesome compliment Justin! I take pride in my cables and aspire to make the rear look just as appealing as the front. Most of the big KZbinrs are just about face value, showing off the components and sponsorship, but no care goes into the rear side at all.
