I really like how in the opening shots you show the mods,detail and weathering he did. You both have really upped the game of refinishing these foam planes. Cool stuff.

Wow! Just wow! I watched Corsair nut's build progress videos on the P-80 and I smiled through every one of them. The P-80 is one of my all time favorite planes but it's kind of a shame that there aren't a lot of Rc models of this. When I first heard he was kit bashing a T-33 to look like a P-80, I was thrilled! I was even more amazed with the level of detail he put into his model. Makes me want to go out and buy my own Freewing T-33 and convert it into a P-80! Thanks for sharing!

He did a great job on this thing. So much so, I bought a t33 for myself originally thinking of doing the same thing. But I’m thinking I may go even crazier with it in terms of kit bashing, haha! We’ll see what happens when the time comes. 😊

@@Thercgeek nice! Didn’t think about the f-94. That’d be a nice project. Haven’t seen too many of those in Rc either.
@Thercgeek3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it’s pretty obscure as airplanes go, but it has direct lineage to the T-33. I love the F-94C personally. It’s so ugly is cool, haha!

Potentially, but I don’t have one at the moment.

Looks and sounds great, and I'm not even a jet fan! Springs are too stiff in the landing gear, and seems like the flaps and speed brakes could use a bit of servo slowing ;)
@Thercgeek3 жыл бұрын
It happens. 😉. I hear you on the servo slowing, though for me personally I actually prefer to transition through that stuff fairly quickly (1-2seconds). Transitioning too slow through the flap extension in flight can bring to light non linearities in the response of the aircraft which you can see visually. Transitioning quicker avoids that.

The correct P-80A nose for that time period's (pre-1947) markings would have been the original landing light nose in place of the black ADF housing. It would be cool to put a bright LED in there.
