Icue link is astronomically expensive, but it’s fantastic. It just is. So, so many cables gone, so easy to manage, good performance and good monitoring as there is a temperature reader in every fan (the QX ones anyway)

Thank you for pointing out that the screen counts as a device. I totally missed that in the documentation and I wasn’t sure why it was complaining. Perfect now with a link cable swap

Also, Off topic, but I would love to see a temp difference between the nzxt h9 flow and elite along with different fan configuration temps. No one on Reddit has even done this

I don’t have an issue with the link system, it’s the iCUE software that’s either hit or miss on any given day. iCUE will just suddenly take up a decent chunk of CPU resources for no apparent reason no matter how many sensors I disable, and sometimes it won’t even detect the AIO pump. I sold my H150i and moved onto other competitors since then
@aaMontee2 ай бұрын
I've been experiencing the same issue where my pump randomly disconnects, and the only way to get it to show back up in the iCUE software is by hitting the Device Enumeration button in the settings.

Hello TheProvokedPrawn, I really enjoy your content and the videos you create. Awesome work! I hope, you read my comment and if possible, answer to it. I am planning a new system, which I want to buy within the next 1-2 weeks. Starting with this new system, I will be switchting to Linux Mint and it will be my first experience with Linux. Here is the first major problem, the ICUE software is not available for Linux. Therefore, I have to look for alternatives (yes, I want to control the fans and pump). Planned setup: Case: 3500X (Because I want to use the Gigabyte Stealth motherboared) 1x RX icue link fan 1x Corsair Titan RX 360 AiO (probably either top or front mounted) 3x RX icue link fans 3x RX icue link fans (probably front or top mounted) In total: 10 fans and the pump. Assumption: Let´s say, all the components are connected into one single daisy chain. All the case fans and the aio. Question 1: Assume, the whole daisy chain is connected via the hub, which is probably connected to the CPU fan header. Will I be able to detect all fans and the pump and control them individually in bios? Or are they being detected as "one" fan and every change is applied to all fans? Question 2: If the answer to question 1 is no, would I need a second/third/etc. icue link hub and connect it to the system fan headers for each "fan group"? e.g. rear fan, bottom fans, front fans? I am asking, because I would like to know, if I can setup fan curves for every fan and the pump in bios (despite the fact, that they are all chained together) or if I have to split up the case fans from the aio. I dont have any experience with icue. I hope, my comment is understandable :).

So I am finding out there is this "new" stuff as you show in this video and they also have a version where each fan has wires going back to a central hub. Can both be used in the same system?

Mine is on the top as an exhaust BUT as I live in a hot country the internal temperature even starts at 30° so maybe if I move the radiator to the same position as yours and as air input fans it may be better. As for me, PCs and whole gaming and use has long lost all practicality. People build PCs like they are going to be on a display with a massive amount of people in long lines looking and gawking at it being amazed at how many lights and fans it has. Then passing out a decibel sound measurement meters for people to jam it inside to listening for any sound the fans gives off. I am building 2 very high end gaming PCs [5 -7K+] each 1 for my son and 1 for me. I could care less if they had any RBG lighting. In fact if I could get what I need without all the RGB it would drop the price way down and still be a great running system and possibly be much better builds and far less headaches. Please don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching these builds and videos but I am amazed at the lengths people are going to when all in all most PCs will be sitting in someone's home with very few ever seeing it. If people like all this RGB fad then go for it, again there's no practicality for it IMO. Great video, well done.
