Gold Mini is now the best late-game tower in terms of dps. Also he benefits more from supports than Engi and Accel. Update: Accel is more reliable in mid-game and late-game now. After recent rebalance still has the same dps on lvl 5 but range and charge is way better. Edit (was written before update) : To all people who think that Accel is better in most cases: Early-game: Gold Mini can be used for early-game in Fallen and Special modes unlike Accel that has higher placement/upgrade cost and lower dps from lvl 0 to lvl 3 (forgot to mention long time of charge/overcharge/cooldown). Accel can be better than Gold Mini for early-game in Hardcore if you don't have good lead penetration towers. Accel gets hidden detection for 5,050$ when Gold Mini gets hidden detection for 6,200$ but it doesn't really matter since Gold Mini has better dps and no overcharge limit for higher cost. Mid-game: Gold Mini is better than Accel for mid-game since he is way cheaper and has more dps. Accel's only upside over Gold Mini is higher range. Late-game: Gold Mini works better with supports than Accel and doesn't have overcharge mechanic. Accel is affected less by range reduction from Wox the Fox, Gunslinger and Nuclear Monster since he has 20 range when Gold Mini has 18. Accel is better for squads. Gold Mini is still better in terms of price but you need to place more in order to get better dps than Accel: Cost of 8 maxed out Accels: 439,200$ Dps of 8 maxed out Accels: 2278.48 dps Cost of 11 maxed out Gold Minis: 417,450$ Dps of 11 maxed out Gold Minis: 2444.42 dps 15 Gold Minis dps is 3333,3 so that makes him better than Engineer (6 Engineers with 24 sentries have 2723,22 dps but engi is better for crowd control and has that much dps just for 6 towers). Conclusion: So basically Gold Mini is better than Accel in solo, duo and trio games. Gold Mini gets more boosts from supports than Accel and Engineer. G mini is very good of a dps tower now. But in squads, you're better off using 3 turrets, 8 accels, and 6 engis for 17 towers and a total dps of 5,981.09 compared to the 3,333.33 dps of 15 g minis. However, don't forget commanders. 1 50% firerate buffed max g mini does 353 dps, so 15 of that would be 5,293.5 dps. So in conclusion, that means that yes turret, accel, and engi is a better combination lol I did all of that for nothing Edit: BUT WAIT! Mercenary base also gives a 20% damage buff, which means 1 50% firerate buffed and 20% damage buffed g mini does a whopping 423 dps. This makes 15 buffed g minis do a total of 6,353 dps, which is more than what you said. BUT WAIT AGAIN! The towers you stated can also be buffed. So we'll say that 1 buffed engi does 468 dps, meaning 6 of them would do 2,808 dps. Accel is a hard one, since the higher boosted firerate and damage makes its overcharge fill up faster, so I'll just use the equation used from the wiki to figure out that one. Apparently it does 450 dps, so 8 accels would do 3,600 dps. I'm just not gonna calculate the turret one along with this, since these two towers are already over 15 g minis. 6 engis and 8 accels do 6,408, which, is already over the dps of 15 g minis, and this is without turret. So I did all these calculations for nothing, and I just wasted my time. Thank you for reading this.

What I find interesting is that in solo mini gunner is undoubtedly the best dps tower (at least that’s what the math says) because 40 max minis can do around 6000 dps but costs 1m to place. On a Trio/Squad you're still better off bringing a mix of Accelerator, Engineer and maybe even Turret to dish out more DPS. 5981.09 DPS for 17 towers instead of 3333.33 DPS for 15 towers is far more worth it on the harder modes, even if it is cheaper. Golden Minigunner/Regular Minigunner are both great, but they're only great when the placement limit is high enough for you to spam them.

Mercenary base also gives a 20% damage buff, which means 1 50% firerate buffed and 20% damage buffed g mini does a whopping 423 dps. This makes 15 buffed g minis do a total of 6,353 dps, which is more than what you said. BUT WAIT AGAIN! The towers you stated can also be buffed. So we'll say that 1 buffed engi does 468 dps, meaning 6 of them would do 2,808 dps. Accel is a hard one, since the higher boosted firerate and damage makes its overcharge fill up faster, so I'll just use the equation used from the wiki to figure out that one. Apparently it does 450 dps, so 8 accels would do 3,600 dps. I'm just not gonna calculate the turret one along with this, since these two towers are already over 15 g minis. 6 engis and 8 accels do 6,408, which, is already over the dps of 15 g minis, and this is without turret. So I did all these calculations for nothing, and I just wasted my time. Thank you for reading this.

Without rof bug With 4 ppl having 60 g minis Is basically having 32 accels DPS Making gmini more reliable on quad or trio matches in costs of range and reliability on solos

Huge nerf for mini. Like Accel, the recharge time is now about the same, plus no more lead which isn't good bc I used this tower for hardcore. Also, the placement limit really sucks. I'm not playing tds anymore(Its an unbalanced mess, with brawler and mercenary base taking over, the ace pilot literally being too good, the hunter being progression-breaking and enemies almost not even getting a buff. Below, fix your game)

new minigun now better than old golden mini gun ( cheap more golden and more dps ) golden minigun now can good in the mutiplayer and more dps than alec and eginer because it can be fully buff by commader and dj not like 2 dps tower hardcore
