I was just at NAMM '24 and was very disappointed Cort had no booth. I really wanted to try the Modern GB4. Unfortunately there's no one carrying the bass near me to try.

Why do some basses have dead spots ? I had a fender jazz mex once that had dead spots mainly around the D n G string 5-6 fret

Resonant frequency of the neck typically...has some canceling effect with the string's resonance. Talking out of my ass here but I've noticed you can attach weights to the headstock to eliminate or even move the deadspot. And other types of construction methods don't have these issues.
