It floats forever, It can also fly off in ground effect at 40 mph at 1100 # so keep the tail up until below 40 mph.

Nice looking bird. I would fly the kr2s and consider purchasing one. Not the standard KR to though. Just too tight in the cockpit. not to insult the other KR aircraft out there but truthfully I think this is the nicest one I've seen. Again, if I could find a good deal on a stretch and I make good deal price wise and air within those wise I'd be inclined to purchase one. Right now I have a Tailwind W8 it is a very nice airplane with no intention of getting rid of it. Just maybe a stable mate for it. I'll be following your videos so keep them up. They look great. It will take 25 to 50 hours of flying time till all the "bugs" are worked out. Been there, done that. My KR2 was built in '77, and every time I do upgrades, same process. That's why it's called EXPERIMENTAL. On the 3rd time of major rework. And I still have the retracts. PS, my wing tanks leaked also.

Get rid of the retracts and have aluminum tanks installed because Alcohol in gas will eat them up no matter what you seal them with.
