The owner lowered the rim size but upped the tire sidewall size so they work out to be the same diameter as stock. Wait, what? In Z Mode you can change the C8 individual performance settings in real time while driving using the sliders on the touch screen?!!! I've never used Z Mode because it's so easy to use the center-console mode selection wheel to simply go between Track Mode when I want to hit it, or back to Tour Mode when I'm downtown or in a residential neighborhood with speed limits no more than 30 mph. So, not having used Z Mode, now that I've seen this video, I realize I incorrectly thought the individual settings in Z Mode needed to be preset prior to entering Z Mode. Even if I would have considered it before watching this video, I would have thought it would be a four-step, three-step, or at least two-step process to change individual settings in Z Mode while driving, such as going to Settings, opening Z Mode settings, changing the individual performance settings with the sliders, and then saving those settings before hitting the Z Mode button. But, now seeing this video, it looks like you can have the Z Mode settings open on the touch screen and use the sliders for each individual performance setting and that each individual setting you change takes effect on the C8 (virtually) immediately in real time when you change the slider? I'm taking my car up the canyon right now! Thanks for the inspiration. I'm anxious to play around with this feature, which I previously didn't even realize was available, to see how it actually works in real life.

They really need to make upper limit upshifts automatic even in manual mode. In my ZL1 A10 after adjusting the tcm, I can never accidentally hit the rev limiter. I’m a Corvette fan, but please don’t compare it to Ferrari

Picked up my '24 2LZ06 on Sept. 17, but working too much to be able to get to her break in miles.

If only gm would've made the dash/console as classy, or at least less gaudy; and who signed off on that nasty steering wheel?

Check out the nasty square steering wheel in the brand new Ferrari F80 and weep.

Comparing these two cars is like comparing a C8 z06 to a C6 z06. Why not a 488 or newer?

@@jubbalandcars regardless of my silly question, great video. Both cars are fantastic (and way out of my price range). Keep up the great work.

The 488 has the same chassis as this car, as does the F8

Always fun to see a local spot get some love. Usually it takes a while to find the road in question but this one wasn't very hard to dig up. That is to say, it didn't take a massive data mining effort to locate this particular stretch of pavement. If you catch my drift : )

Talking about steering… I never saw reviewer put C8 Z06 in Track mode. That is where steering is most responsive.
@SK-pn1peАй бұрын
When he puts it into Z mode and maximizes the steering it's the same as track mode. Track mode is just all the sliders maxed out....Z mode lets you customize them. He had everything spiked in Z mode...so really no different than track.

A 2017 up Dodge Viper will pull as hard as the ZO6 if not more so and it's naturally aspirated as well.

I don't know why but I much prefer the vision inside the Vette than the 458 , just seems less scary around the corners and overall .

Says a lot when you compared a brand new car against an old out dated car....and feel like it's a fare comparison😅😅😅
@markw951222 күн бұрын
A lot of parroting of this point going on in this thread. Ferrari used the same chassis in the two successors to the 458, 488 and the F8, and have only slightly modified it since. So it’s not exactly a horse and buggy is it?

Jubbal will never experience more satisfying steering outside his Emira. Lotus has ruined all other steering 😂

750S is #1 steering in my book, followed by Elise and Evora GT, with Emira trailing not too far behind

@@jubbalandcars The convertible weight is 100 lbs heavier than the Targa(if there was a true Coupe there would be a 150lbs difference, because of additional reinforcements). Really wish the C8 Z06 had 5lbs per HP, was 5.6L(103.75mm×83mm) with 700hp at 8600rpm/480ft.lbs at 6100rpm, a 9000rpm redline(a GM engineer said the valvetrain is durable up to 9000rpm and said GM wanted as much low end torque as possible), have better steering and break communication, have a 395mm front rotor diameter with 285/35r19 on 10.5's and 345/30r20 on 13's(taller sidewall allows for stiffer spring rates), front quarter vents/more prominent rear defuser/and active aero for the Z07 package. But... I realize the base C8 would had started at 80K in 2020 and be 95k by the end of C8 production, making the Z06 start at 135K in 2023 and 145K in 2027, making the ZR1 start at 210K in 2025 and 215K in 2027.

I just can't get excited about a car you can't shift. Without a manual transmission it's just a boring ride. 😢
