@@ozzstars_cars It's a point I'd like to hear about actually. I have a splitter on my C5 and it looks cool, but man is it low. Since it's my wife's car (that was my excuse anyway) she doesn't grasp the idea that she can't continue to drive over roadkill. She's brought home more than one dead animal in the suspension. And forget about approaching a drive way at an angle. That splitter will be ground to nothing in no time. By the way, after 90 days the post office finally delivered the title. Now she wants a "girly" license plate.

Looks like factory to me . I can't remember ever seeing rivets used on the assembly line but it's a lot better than them plastic push clips forsure . That 3m tape has kept my body side mouldings on for 20 years for my Silverado so I think your good . 👍
@ozzstars_cars4 жыл бұрын
So far so good with the 3M tape holding. Of course 20 years ago the stuff was probably not environmentally friendly and lasts longer. Haha I was thinking about what you said about the rivets. I have toured the Corvette assembly plant and the splitters and side skirts are put inside the car to avoid damage during shipping because the car site so low to the ground. The dealer prep folks install them. Thanks for the brain refresher Steve!

Could you comment on what differences you observed in driving around between the OEM splitter and the EOS stage 2. I want to get a stage 2 but have some challenging streets and store entrances. The way you lined up the two, showing the EOS being only slightly longer at the center but over an inch off to the side where it may not impact when it will scrape. What do you think?

I've replaced 3 of these splitters due to my own fault. First, I would never trust tape to hold the winglets on regardless of what EOS notes in the instructions. I'd say if you trust that you'll be purchasing another set. Nevertheless, even GM doesn't use tape. They screw it into the splitter as my original OEM did. Maybe an adhesive bonding agent, but not tape. You also noted that GM doesn't use bolts to install the winglets, and I'd say that is incorrect information. The Stage 2 OEM splitter part number 23347403 ($1300) specifically shows bolts that attach winglets. Which is exactly what both my and my son's car has. The splitter that does not use bolts is the ZR1 splitter because, yes, it is fully molded.
@ozzstars_cars6 ай бұрын
@jacksondaniels8169 these wingleys have been on for years now with 3M tape only. Speeds in excess of 100 mph with no issues at all, not once. You can come see it for yourself. For $300 the EOS stage 2 front splitter is a bargain!!!

Hello looks great on your car. First I just want to think you for this video. I was debating on whether to buy that same front splitter off ebay from the same company or not, because I couldn't see how the end caps would go on. And also someone was saying buying it from ebay instead of a corvette site...it might not fit properly, look good etc.Over all what do you think about the product.
