Thanks for the video, very helpful. My brother needs to replace his as well and I get to help. He wants to use two-sided tape, haha, not gonna happen.

if you didn't have a splitter original to the car can't you use screws instead of the rivots?
@WIDEBODYNATION4 жыл бұрын
You could, I dislike rivets.... Screws would be preferable

@@WIDEBODYNATION going along with what mike said above....does drilling out the rivets damage the holes to put screws in later? Rivets are crap. I agree with you about not installing the 1000 dollar splitter even though it looks like shit. These things get damaged all the time. Thanks for your video.

Do the ends go under or over the side air dams?

Use drill bit that is the same size of rivet. It will come out easier

I can see why you’d just go with the plastic. Renters would be bombing a carbon lip...

Yeah Turo insurance doesn't necessarily cover after market parts either so id basically just be letting the guests drag around $1000 of carbon fiber

Rivets are a nightmare on cars

Removing them is by far the worst part. I don't know why Chevy and other car makers can't just use regular screws
