Best fishing podcast plain and simple. Every show is freaking phenomenal. This one was no exception.

The reason Jake’s Take is so interesting is because he is getting to tell stories that even the pundits don’t get to tell first hand. Such cool stories Jake!!

Always look forward to your podcasts. I was one of the dudes that stuck out my hand to shake your hand Thursday morning when you finished the take off! Was good to meet you & didn’t know you were sick or I would have immediately gone home & taken a shower! Jake’s Take- him sharing his stories with Rick Clunn & Hack Attack is awesome. Jake is an excellent story re-teller! Cory is a great champion & represents everything that is good with BASS. Cory & Chris feed off each other. So dang competitive! Both will be wanting to win the next tournament.

😂great show! Happy as hell for Cory!! He’s a man’s man and I relate to that “shut up “ sentiment so much!! People like him and his brother are the reason I’m watching Bass fishing again. It’s been a great year so far and I hope they keep stepping on throats! From North Carolina, just wanted to say I enjoyed the show and can’t wait for the next one!

the river we ran to get to Crescent Lake is a winding run and Greg drives his boat like a race car at 71 mph…decelerating into the turns and accelerating out of them is the way to run a boat on a river like that. it’s one of the funnest boat rides in the country…especially in Greg Hackneys boat. So i kidded him about it….that’s what we were talking about on LIVE. Lol😂

Oh man…he slung a fish in the boat on a hook set and it wrapped around both of my legs….he was worried about me getting a hook in my Achilles tendon and i was worried about the fish coming off and flopping back into the water. 😂 but Hackney hit me with a jig in the clavicle at Lake Seminole, a la Bobby Lane. 😂

My Clunn story: my first and only B.A.S.S. event and tournament I have ever fished I was a co angler at Ross Barnett. I was nervous and anxious sitting in the boat tied to the fuel dock with my boater smoking a cigarette. Then out of the darkness came the bass pro nitro of Rick docking directly in front of us. My boater went nuts getting pictures and talking to him but the entire time I was just awestruck sitting in my seat with my rods all tangled and to nervous to ever say a word. Thank you Rick for that memory. Next time I’ll say hey

In this weeks edition of Mercer… the camera wizard goes for the ride of a lifetime… two days in a row! Dave breaks the rules and “ORDERS THE EGG FOO YUCK!” and well, he pays the price… two days in a row!…. In the glory story of the weekend, our boy Cory Johnston wins his first big blue trophy by a whole day!!!, leaving him the option to go nurse on Dave if need be, or go swimming with the kids, maybe shop around in town. In any event, he leaves Cooper Gallant as the only Canadian STILL without a trophy! Bwah bwah bwahhhh… get em Coop!!! In the Lunatics corner…. Ontario denies kids the right to slay creatures in the mist until they’re TWELVE!? Hell, by that age, whitetail wont be the first tail to come to mind… c’mon Ontario, get with the program! And Last but Ohhhhh not least…. Some no balls looney toon that can’t catch ‘em, wants to spend his free time stalking dudes who CAN catch ‘em only to jump the gun and protest those anglers he only wishes he could be, only to learn… he’s still and idiot. Great show as always, Dave!! 👊

If Tyler MCKINNEY Fished for 49 years and all 9 tournaments he would only have fished 441 tournaments
@PHATBASSASSASSIN6 ай бұрын
You mean trey McKinney ? Lol not Tyler
@basscat21076 ай бұрын
Rick's 500 tournaments are made up of way more than just elite tournaments. Trey could literally fish 25-30 bass events a year. Rick used to fish as many tournaments a year as John Cox.

Cory should probably let the issue of a competitor in his and his brother’s area ! Because the anglers coming didn’t effect Cory’s finish, but it probably could has effected his brother’s position! Don’t Cory and Chris share winnings ? Having Competitor issues like that could effect BASS’s rule on Anglers sharing info who are in the tournament! Plus Cory said he wants to embarrass the Angler in Question. Who is to say that Anglers would retaliate in a bad manor ! Regardless of the situation. In life when you lose your temper YOU always lose ! I’m not saying that it was ok for the Angler in Question to do what he did , but it’s not worth doing what Cory wants to do . Let cooler heads prevail 😀
