To be fair, he did have a pair of eighth notes on the kick drum, so it was 4 notes, but yes, Goold is the master of tasty minimalism.

He does a 16th note run down the set and hits some disco-style open hats. Definitely not two notes.

So.... I'm in the UK, Im fully isolated with my vulnerable daughter under some very strict conditions. One of the things that keeps me going and makes all this a bit easier, is Cory's constant work throughout this, and the fact I managed to see his London gig just before things got real. So....... Basically....... thank you Cory. And dont you dare get a real job....... :)

@vulfkachnanajza44834 жыл бұрын
Be careful what you wish for. He is doing what he loves and enjoy although not much of the population understand. I don't want to see him going mainstream and commercial because these days, that is usually what it takes to make it big. And the mainstream and commercial taste of music these days are garbage. But I know Cory will never go down that road.

i don't know about that. i'd totally hear Robbie sing this, but she doesn't sound quite right imo, a bit like an opera singer trying out pop music. not bad, she's definitely a good singer and i like her, but slightly out of place, in my opinion.

@@MiriamMars if anything she's too accurate, pitchwise and timewise (see the b-section at around 3:00 in particular). not trying to diss the song, i listened to it 10-15 times since yesterday. i am just adressing the specific claim that the voice is 'right', my opinion being that it's slightly stylistically inconsistent.
