The model was made by someone Cosmic Key was in contact with and a coworker had rigged it for me to animate. Here's the modeller's ArtStation, however they don't seem to have uploaded it to there: www.artstation.com/nikokamniotis/

animation needs a little polishing cause it currently looks like it has something heavy on its feet like a human wearing swimfins and walking on sand. Other than that really good modeling and great coloring choice. It looks like something that can be found somewhere dark and the shape of the tale also implies amphibian behavior. If thats the case i would make the tail itself a bit thicker since the muscle needed to support such a heavy tail tip is required. I know nobody asked for my opinion but i just wanted to point those things out since am in the same line of work. Amazing work! Keep it up!

I only did the animation work, and I'm still trying to get the hang of creatures. You're very correct about the heaviness, I ended up hiding the feet moving as much as possible for the project it was intended for. Been sharpening up my skills at least since I animated the raptor, lately been working on an FPS project, wrapping up the trial period for it as of writing this. Hopefully I'll get another crack at creatures soon!

@@RhienneC I would advise watching all sorts of animation cycles since that helped me a ton when starting. Get an understanding of the biology of the thing you are working with, the way the bone moves, how the muscles move with it. If you cannot find any animation for the already existing creature you are trying to work on try doing what i call the frankenstein method and basically find different animation of similar skeleton creatures and combine them. There are a ton of things to look out for when it comes to animation that if i stayed here writing about it i wouldnt be done anytime soon. Its all trial and error so some things you gotta figure out as you go. Looking forward to see more in the future!

I've been getting a few comments like this. I didn't model it, I only animated it.
