I saw you use a kneaded eraser a long time ago and no joke, you changed my artistic life. It's so useful for everything especially lightening a drawing in a non-destructive way.

Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing your process. Excellent pressure control using HB lead with superb results! I usually use 2B, but you've inspired me to try HB. Screen tone with Pencil (instead of ink) looks fabulous and something I'm going to try.

Hi! I really like the collage and washi tape effects on the page. It really adds to the page. Also I like the darkness of the line work, I originally thought you’d used pen until I looked closely and saw you had just used a darker lead instead, it’s a great affect. 👍🏻

my favourite thing anout your videos is showing the whole process, sketching a out the base idea, more details, then ink and then erase. it makes me feel better about how i draw because i always see people who can draw perfectly without sketching it out or erasing anything 😊

One thing which never fails to impress, is your amazing shading. I feel like it really got room to shine when done with pencil like this. I've been doing art studies, of you included, and have already learned so much, though for some reason I struffle to wrap my head around fabric shading. Do you think tutorials will ever be in the cards? c:

I use a lightboard to see through layers, that may help if you do the sticker layer trick again. I love that parallax effect, it's very reminiscent of the clothes in cartoons like chowder.

I'm a new subscriber here, and I'm sure this comment will get buried underneath everyone else's. But I just wanted to say your style of drawing, easy going approach to these videos, and master studies have helped me tremendously find my own style and push myself to be a better artist. I'm still a beginner as I've only been sketching for like 6 months, but I've seen a huge improvement studying your drawings, and following along with your own master studies (especially on the one for frank frazetta.). So, thank you. You've helped out alot. Okay I'm done.

Is this pencil lead a certain softness? Bc I feel like you were able to get your lines much darker than I usually can! I’d love to know what you use
@CosmicSpectrumArt2 жыл бұрын
I think the camera actually made the lines look a bit darker than they are in person, but its a regular HB lead. If you press hard though, that's pretty much as dark as any graphite lead can go I think. In my experience the softer B pencils just require less pressure but aren't any darker O:

I use the same pencil if my guess is right, your's is the Graphgear 500, right? I use it and its a .5 lead pencil that I adore using especially for small details

Can anyone just confirm or explain why it's not a good idea for me please?... I'm trying to create a comic, I'm a beginner I'm thinking, is there any reason why I can't draw everything in pencil, at an A4 size Upload it to my PC to work on it digitally, even small characters etc, draw them big and just minimise them on the app? Making fine details much easier for me So my sketch work doesn't have to be as good, so I can get started now instead of waiting a year or 2 until my sketches are good enough, small details are good enough Once uploaded I can reuse a lot of stuff, so I'm hoping to make my process as simple as possible for a beginner

@@CosmicSpectrumArt i looked. i couldnt find anything. and pardon me for asking. but we get it, you draw very well. it would be nice to actually LEARN something from you, rather than telling me whats with the sass...like im literally HOPING youd have maybe a 1 minute tutorial. that would be nice too. it could be HOW TO DRAW AIR, i would like to learn. i guess this isnt the channel for learning. Thank you for sharing the knowledge. Next time i shall not "sass" your channel.
