Wow, that was the most amazing close up I've ever seen of the moon! I always want to capture its beauty but its fairly hard to do with my phone sooooo, yep, sold, Im getting this camera, and I also love the vlogging feature. Im excited, thanks for helping to solidify my decision. Every other vlogger lead me to the G7x markii or canon M5, two very EXPENSIVE cameras, I don't need anything too fancy. The moon shot only required a tripod. I use manual focus and auto exposure. I probably could have gotten a better exposure with manual override on the exposure. I doubt I will camp agin with this camera and not be taking photos of the moon!

I love it. and this is just as much art as anybody else. personally I'm not very big of a fan of that word "art" anyways :) we should appreciate each and every moment and even appreciate some moments more than other moments and that to me is art, even though I don't use that word. even finding a new instrument and doing your first tones on it is art to me. again I don't really use the word :)

Hey Cosmo. I like the overview of the camera. I use to have several powershot Elph's in the past. I've been using my iPhone for most of my photograph. However, may go back because I have had good experiences with the Canon line of small cameras.

Hi Gregory. For me - this is the best point and shoot I have owned so far. Its not easy to use on long telephoto but I like the challenge of trying to squeeze a decent shot out of a small camera. =Cosmo

I am considering switching from my ELPH 300 HS to the SX740 HS and my biggest question is the audio. Do you notice an improvement in sound. When I started out, I had an old old old KODAK easy share that had the greatest audio and captured the birds so well! I miss it so much. I'm so hopeful that the sound will improve when I upgrade to a decent more modern camera.

I'm having trouble with the zooming and keeping it still. A little bit of movement I make will loose the object.

Depends what you are photographing.. Not sure what defines vlogging, Maybe photographing yourself talking? Try Portrait setting??? I don't know!

Do you plan to part ways with the ELPH 360? I've always been intrigued with nature photography, being that I live in one of the best birding centers in America.

No I will keep the Elph 360. I like owning 2 cameras. The 730 quickly became my favorite. I thingk the 730 is an acceptable starter camera for nature. Its not a replacement for an SLR with an array of lenses. But its a fine pocket camera and the long zoom is lots of fun. Only thing lacking is hight quality photo sharpness. I am still trying to squeeze that out of the camera. Birding is truly a wonderful addition to my outdoor activities. I live near some major migration flyways. nice camera but NO Panorama shoot mode ! Many features but not much or at all being used. The Sony WX500 is cheaper and has Panorama shoot mode !

Almost all cameras do panoramic. Its a software feature. This cameras telephoto goes out to 900MM which is spectacular. Enjoy your S.ony. I am unaware of the ability to take a photograph when in movie mode. Move mode records 30 frames a second which does not leave time for a photo.
