Make sure to run it for half an hour with nothing in it but the sheets prior to cooking for the first time guys.

When you do bananas put them on the mesh mats. Then when you take them out bend the mat gently and the banana's , and other sticky stuff, will pop right off.Onions are like candy dehydrated. I can eat them like chips. Slice them about 1/3" thick and seperate the rings. I have over 50 half gallon jars of dehydrated stuff in my pantry. I have a 10'X10' pantry with 6 tall resturant metal shelves. I've got jalapenos, poblanos, basil, dill, potatoe's, mango's, garlic, ginger, etc, etc

Stephanie Sims How are you liking the Cosori? I just ordered this model off Amazon. There was a $30 coupon off. My Dehydrator I found 2 years ago NEW in the box from a Thrift store for $12!!!...just broke 😑 I'm replacing it with this one.

I absolutely love my Cosori Dehydrater! I've wanted one for so long. I just got it a month ago and I use it all the time. I don't have much room for food so this is a space saver. Thank you so much for a great Dehydrater!!!

Just remember to drink water when you are snacking on dehydrated foods. I buy all organic and when something is on special, I get a bit extra so I can dehydrate and store for later use. This comes in handy in the winter where I live. I keep dehydrated onions, green peppers and celery on hand.
@kcnnanna4 жыл бұрын
How clever! I'll definitely be doing this I'm the Winter since I'm in the northeast and won't be able to really keep a garden during the Winter months.

Do you still have your dehydrator? I love drying mushrooms, corn, peas, strawberries and spinach in mine, they shrink down and you have a great soup addition.
@RVDebs2 жыл бұрын
I don't have it here it's at Kathy and Mark's in the garage it seems like nobody uses it unfortunately and I don't really have room for it.

@@RVDebs That's really too bad. Surprized your prepper family member's don't use it - it's great too dry the extra's that don't fit in the freezer and most you just add water (pref hot).

@@RVDebs WOW! In the video you really seem to love this Dehydrator! I just purchased this model on Amazon with $30 off. With Prime I'll be getting it fast! I'm excited...my Dehydrator just broke & this one is my updated replacement 😊

I have one of these and am wondering if hot air blowing out from the door is normal? The room where this is located is about 10 degrees hotter than any other room in the house. There is a gap all the way around the door. Is that normal? Part of the drying ventilation?
@RVDebs3 жыл бұрын
I have to be honest with you I haven't used mine in a long time and I don't remember it being hot like that

My favorite dehydrator fruit is pineapple. I like to vacuum seal mine. My favorite veggie is as thin as you can mashed potatoes spiced up strongly with garlic and salt. Yummy as a snack and no need to rehydrate, eat it as chips. Cut the pineapple half that thickness you have there, if you don't want them to be sticky and stick to each other in storage bag & to last longer without store bought ones preserves they use for thicker sticky ones. I don't like oranges but it is okay if going in a punch or drink. I do mine while I sleep. Mine is the round different brand, 6 tray smaller light weight one for just 4 people. Half that size I pack away under my sink.

Wow, they came out beautiful! So much better than the store bought - no added preservatives and much lower cost. How do you store the fruit so it doesn’t get wilted or moldy, if it even gets moldy? Seems like a winner to me 👍🏼

Hi Debs. If you want to preserve the nutrients and enzymes, you set temp to 118 degrees. It takes longer but it’s so healthy. Thanks for your wonderful videos.

Banana chips in the store are deep fried usually. Spray your racks before you dry. My dehydrator took so long and was pretty loud. Had racks that you could actually spread with puree and make fruit leather. I never did. It took forever like my smoker (too much charcoal and work.)
