I struggle with texture and cell turnover more than acne. I recently got the AHA whitehead power liquid and it's EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's got goldilocks potency that potentially can be used a couple days in a row or more sparingly AND it's easy to layer underneath the rest of my steps. Plus the price point, ingredients, and no added fragrance!

Hi can I ask what is ur skin type?
@RachelDee3 жыл бұрын
@@kagstobio2271 Pretty normal. Apart from a lot of sun damage I got from living closer to the equator at a high altitude for a couple years. I think the texture is mostly from before I learned how to care for moisture barrier.

Oh I have the same concerns about my skin like I have a textured skin but my skin type is oily so I don't know if I should buy the bha one for oily or the aha one for dry skin but thank u for answering..
@RachelDee3 жыл бұрын
@@kagstobio2271 Maybe your skin needs a little alternating between both? Or a good combo product. But there's also overlap in that both AHAs and BHAs help with oil and texture to some degree. I've basically taken BHAs out completely because AHAs and hydration combat enough of the level of oiliness I experience. I think Niacinamide helps with oiliness too.

I am 37 and have very dry skin. I was constantly struggling with really bad whiteheads and have had bad acne my whole life. I have used so many kinds of salicylic acid and nothing ever helped. I noticed a slight improvement went I ate better and used retinols. Then I found the Cosrx whitehead power liquid and it completely changed my skin. My whiteheads completely disappeared in a few weeks, I didn’t get new ones except for my time of the month. My skin was also more glowy and no where near as dry. I don’t know if that part was due to the product itself or helping products penetrate deeper, but it was what I had been looking for pretty much my whole life. Everyone skin is so different, but it could help other people who don’t get results they want from BHA’s like salicylic acid.

Cosrx is a Korean brand. In Korea they can’t use salicylic acid above .5 percent without a prescription. So that’s why cosrx doesn’t use salicylic acid in their products.

The Cosrx AHA is one of the few glycolic acid products my skin tolerates, it has a higher pH which is why. Lactic acid products can't be formulated below a pH of 5 in Europe so for the Europeans out there, don't bother with lactic acid, it won't do a whole lot for you. Glycolic acid, PHA's and mandelic acid will be more effective.

Idk if we're supposed to directly apply the product onto our skin like that, but I've been using the AHA 7 one for a while now, and the package says to soak and swipe a cotton pad on the face. Would appreciate your thoughts on this!

@NusratNoshin3 жыл бұрын
@@sandykhaw8040 For actual whiteheads it doesn't really do anything drastic. I think it's better to use BHA exfoliants instead if you want clean pores. However, it's a really good product for getting rid of dirt, oil, and surface level debris. Use a cotton pad.

How does the bha power liquid compare to the paulas choice 2% bha liquid?
@stutishah78133 жыл бұрын
Giulia Balestrieri the power liquid has a lower concentration of BHA than the paulas choice. the power liquid is better suited for for sensitive skin whereas the paulas choice has a higher concentration.

Thank you for the information! Do you think this is better to use than the Ordinary BHA + AHA? (I already have the ordinary product)
@shesjustafriend9084 Жыл бұрын
Not a professional but my personal opinion, the ordinary while has some nice ingredients often lacks supporting non active ingredients which can lead to dryness and sensitivity in some skin types so while the ordinary serum is still good it definitely needs supporting from nonactives serums while this problem isn’t prevalent in the cosrx but do whatever works for your skin

This isn’t a replacement for a moisturizer but it’s nice & hydrating!
@diananemoy74093 жыл бұрын
Even the most oily skin still needs a moisturizer step even if your treatment serum or toner step is slightly hydrating. I have blemish oily prone skin and I definitely use my serums and toners to keep my skin clear/brighten/anti aging and pick water light type formulas that dont leave me super stripped but also that dont have overly hydrating and moisturizing ingredients meant for dry skin since my skin will feel tacky and applying even the lightest gel mosturizer would make my skin feel gross. As always trial and error even if a formula looks perfect on a paper lol. Cosrx also has an aha/bha toner mist I love for a good balance for breakout prone skin types. I found yeses of using aha mask and serums may have evened out some post blemish marks but my nature leaves skin way to sticky/moist causing congestion which is why more people with dry skin use aha and bha is much better for oily/break out prone. However there are the few water light formulas of mixing both I enjoy like this one, Glow Recipe Watermelom BHA/PHA, and Farmacy BHA Toner. Best!
