Great job, Afuom Hene with all the great information. I do have a question. I have seen videos where people say that it's not good to have a cover or shade on catfish pond and others that say it's important to have shade. What is your take about that?
@afuomtv3 жыл бұрын
I will say it depends on where your pond is. The catfish do well if they get some sunlight especially if they are old. However if the sunlight is too hot then by all means get them some shade.

Afuom king, thanks so much. Please I have TWO questions. 1. Won't these ponds breed mosquitoes? If yes, how does one deal with it especially if it's within his/her compound? 2. The borehole (underground) water, is there the need to send sample for it to be tested in the lab or is there a 'simple technique' one can use to check to be sure it is good to be used for catfish or when it comes to catfish, "all water be water"? Once again, thanks so much for your exciting, entertaining and informative videos. We'll keep sharing till you get 1M+ subscribers soon.
@afuomtv3 жыл бұрын
1. The catfish will eat the mosquito larvae therefore there will be no mosquitoes breeding from the pond 2. Yes there is a way we check for the water pH level and no , not every water is good enough for catfish farming. However we are able to mitigate most of the challenges of water so it becomes safe for use.

But cement and labor are very Cheap in Ghana!! In Liberia 🇱🇷, we buy one bag of cement for 7.50usd And building such thing will cost you about 50 to 60usd just to build one of that stuff. So things are very cheaper in Ghana and Nigeria than Liberia 🇱🇷

@draculafiles4596 Жыл бұрын
By canopy I'm assuming you talking about tarpaulin. The canopy(tarpaulin) is mobile but concrete or sand Crete isn't. Tarpaulin wont last as long as concrete
