We used to grow peanuts at my Migori village just for eating. Now I know in a good governance we would have been rich then. My village had many sugarcane farms and tractors would come for harvesting when Sony sugar was running healthy. Today my village has no sugarcane farms. I know several people who if given the chance would revolutionize their sector like Anthony Mwangi. The problem is the authoritarian mindset our leaders have. They averse to taking input from those who are better than. A classic trait of what Romans would describe a fool in a position of power. There are a lot of them at the very top of government. The amount of damage our country will take in the next five years will take several decades to reverse. The education system became a joke, the healthcare is in abysmal state and the economy is crawling. All our core pillars are collapsing. We can only hope we can all overwelmingly vote this government out in 2027, because let's be frank. We really can't take manage to have 10 years of this idiocracy without severe consequences. As of today, goodluck to you in Kenya if you don't have money. By money I mean making 200k and above each month. Especially if you have a family.

Trade is war and the opponents here are Heavy Weights Vs barely registering Feather Weights! As were discussing matters policy if all these were to generate steam I wouldn't be surprised with other rounds of amendments in "loosening up" labour, environment & financial laws. How do you compete against giants who have full support/subsidies of their gov'ts and can transport, market & price things in your market below your costs of production?
