Visa is a very tricky topic - I can talk for myself but this doesn't apply for everyone based, for example, on passport and length of stay. And Thailand doesn't have a digital nomad visa, but some sort of retirement visas which are ridiculously expensive. On the other side, if you're planning go somewhere close to Thailand and stay longer with a proper digital nomad visa, you could look into Malaysia 😊

Ohh I’m so happy to hear this! Bkk is definitely a great option for nomads and, like you, I also want to spend mire time there :) what are you most interested to know about the digital nomad world?

@@joyoushapes So the two main things for me are 1) visa requirements and 2) co-working space. I work for a UK company, but fully remote, so I’m trying to find out whether you can do this on a tourist visa for 90 days, or whether you should have something else. And I like the idea of renting a hotdesk in a co-working space… I have a lot of video meetings, so I need good WiFi (some of the hotels I’ve stayed in BKK, the WiFi is too unreliable). Also, I’d need to work UK office hours, which would be around 2pm to 11pm BKK time. So 24/7 access to an office space would be good - not one that closes in the evening. Haha sorry, long reply here! Loads of other little things, but these are the main two! I’m heading to BKK next month so planning some more research then :)

Yeah, but how do you deal with having to renew your tourist visa every three months. EXTREMELY annoying

I guess everyone has to figure out their visa situation. And in that case, it’s not that bad. It’s a good excuse to do a weekend getaway :)

@@joyoushapes I found out you just go to the immigration office in Bangkok and renew. Happens every 60 days, not 90. Pain in the ASS. But at least you don't have to leave the country. Sheesh.

THank you so much for making this video. I am considering moving alone to Bangkok sometime in the next couple of years and safety is my main issue, always. As any woman, the amount of terror from being street harrassed since I was barely 12 years old has been beyond traumatic and even now, in my 30s, no where near conventionally attractive, I just got followed home while I was walking with my groceries. It never ends, at least where I am. So the fact that you mentioned safety is such a big deal. If it were an unsafe place you probably would have experienced some street harrassment walking alone. I truly hope this is true for a more long term stay as well, as I am really searching for a home in Bangkok, and hopefully a safe place.

Uhh good question, well that’s very personal but I’d calculate around $1000-1200 x month for everything 😊

I'm happy you like it! I use Airbnb website - I like it for long term rentals! You can also find places on booking.com and then contact the place through their main website to avoid booking.com fees :) hope it helps! Do you plan do go to Bkk or are you there already?
